Residence Inn Durham McPherson/Duke University Medical Center Area

Great staff and great breakfast. Ken at breakfast was a morning ray of sunshine to our group.

Paying 15 a night for non valet, non reserved parking is appalling, the rooms were very clean and the staff were accommodating. The main downstairs area is comfortable and inviting. The REAL stars are the continental breakfast cooks KEN and Natalie.

I have stayed here a few times and think it is a great price for what you get. The rooms are clean and the gym meets my needs. I love having the kitchenette and living area so I have more space to unwind after meetings, the shuttle service is very helpful, and the location is great. However, I only wrote a review during this particular stay because the person at the front desk, Deniasia, impressed me. When I encountered issues with the first room I got, she quickly tried to help me. More importantly, in that and other interactions with her, she was friendly and upbeat and always tried to provide the best customer experience possible. That made all the difference in my stay.

Average stay for residence inn. Pros: staff was friendly; good location; clean, except for my bathroom . Cons: my shower was gross with mildew and showerhead that was so low flow. I never felt like I got the soap off: toilet wobbled and when I let them know Saturday night, it still wasn’t fixed by Monday; bed was a bit lumpy; front desk never answered the phone and it was constantly busy like they took it off the hook.

Staff members are professional, helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate our needs. Shout out to Jennifer, Janine, Deniasia and Ken!

Great food. My wife loves the gravy and biscuit. Service is exceptional. Ken makes you feel welcome and appreciative!!!

Kenneth’s professional and attentiveness exceeded my expectations . He is an asset to the Marriott team!

We spent two nights at this hotel when dropping our son off at Duke. The location is great - right next to East campus but not far from West campus. We arrived early and the hotel was able to hold our luggage until our room was ready later in the day. We had a two bedroom suite on the fourth floor which was wonderful - plenty of room. We enjoyed the free coffee that is availble all day long in the lobby. Would deinfintly recommened to anyone looking for a nice clean hotel with friendly staff lcoated near Duke University.
