Food was lovely , clean well kept rooms not so great on checkout when the receptionist did not recognise trip . Com and advised we hadn’t paid despite us showing her confirmation of pre payment

We had a lovely stay for our anniversary. The hotel is nice and has some lovely areas. Our room was clean but did have the odd tatty bit (shoe print on the wall, tea stain on the carpet) the bathroom was a little small but had everything we needed in the form of toiletires and a very powerful shower. The thing that makes this place is the staff and the food. We ate in the resturant and the food was amazing - so was the service. I'm not sure of the ladys name who worked in the resturant and bar but she really looked after us and made our stay special. The breakfast was lovely the next day and again attentive staff. We would stay here again and recommend for a visit even if it's just to eat.

Good things first: the staff are lovely (though there aren't enough of them - see later), the hotel was clean, the bed comfy and the food delicious (both dinner and breakfast). It was raining, so we didn't go outside, but the gardens looked lovely. Not so good things: As they appeared to be short-staffed in the restaurant, our wait for taking our order was over long (we had 2 courses and were in the restaurant for over 2 and a half hours). The staff kept apologising and were lovely. Secondly, I'm a size 14 and I think anyone bigger than me would have had problems using the shower in our room, the cubicle was so small. Overall a good place to stay, and not overpriced

Arrived for my husbands 50th We had chocolates and fizz in the room which was lovely We stayed in the suite Which is lovely But I feel the carpet needs replacing as looks very tired Staff are all lovely Food was also very nice Gardens were lovely for sitting and having a drink Would return if that way again

The hotel is beautiful and quiet. The rooms are well decorated. Unfortunately you really can hear everything that goes on in adjoining rooms. Our room was not cleaned during nor the bed made when we stayed which felt a bit sub optimal. The breakfast was very nice. I enjoyed being able to go for a run in the morning straight from the hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed the most fantastically flavoursome Sunday lunch at this lovely hotel, it was second to none. Complements to the chef. Also, the young staff were very friendly and efficient, which made for a very enjoyable experience.

Had a lovely meal at 61. The service was exceptional by Maria. She was very attentive. The steak with chimichuri sauce was excellent and the baked Alaska desert was delicious too. Something you don’t often see on a menu so it was a nice change. All the food was really well presented. It was reasonably priced too. Will definitely be back soon.
