The Stones Hotel

As a black person u wanna avoid this hotel never wrote a review before but this is the worse hotel. My room number was changed immediately when I got there. She was acting nice and all but u could notice the look and expression. So im like dont think to much about it. Let it go. I get in my room obviously it’s not what I requested. I let it slide cause I wanna sleep n continue my journey the following day. Constant noise of doors banging etc. bare I’m mind I wear hearing aids ! When I’m sleeping I don’t wear them so which shows it much better really loud. 10:30 someone opens my door and peed. What if I was naked or getting dress . The check out is at 12. So the is no reason for opening my door. !!!!

Ambiance was amazingly beautiful. The staff members were really friendly with us. Bedroom were clean and comfortable bed.

The staff were lovely! However we were placed in a room where the tv did not work, the window didn’t shut completely, and we had no hot water. The staff were amazing and the location was great if you have a car!

We stayed here for my nieces wedding and God did we wish we didn't! The first room we were given was that bad, we had to change. The curtains we're hanging off the rail and the place was filthy. The next room wasn't that much better. Faulty plug sockets & light, faulty shower door, honestly this place is a shambles. To top it off the night before the wedding, we made a big mistake of dining here! They had 1 member of staff on duty, to run bar, reception and restaurant! We waited over an hour for our starters and an hour for our mains! Absolute shambles of a place. The wedding was ok but the food was dreadful and overdone & cold. The manageress gave us our money back on the food but wasn't bothered about anything else. Please stay elsewhere folks, because this place is dreadful and you will regret it!

A great location, perfect place to break the journey to and from Devon. Very helpful and friendly staff too. Only issue, we were charged twice for our stay and after a delay to our initial request to refund the extra, we were refunded the over charge. Thank you

Only issue, and a warning to check your payment cards, we were charged twice for our stay and after an initial response we sre now struggling to get any positive response to sort the matter out despite providing evidence showing the double charging.

We had the most incredible experience at The Stones Hotel for our wedding, and it truly was the perfect venue for our special day. From start to finish, everything was so well organised, and the whole day ran seamlessly. The staff were absolutely fantastic—so attentive, hardworking, and always on hand to make sure everything was just right. A special mention has to go to Sasha, our venue coordinator, who was amazing throughout. She was so supportive, helpful, and made sure every detail came together perfectly, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the day. The food was also outstanding—so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was! It really added to the whole experience and made the day even more memorable. We’ll remember our wedding at The Stones Hotel forever. It was everything we hoped for and more, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a brilliant team behind it.

Good hotels in and around Salisbury are few and far between and I must say our recent stay at the Stones Hotel is probably the best so far! Our room is really quiet and very well presented, plenty of space, VERY clean and has all the things you need, hair dryer, iron & ironing board and good storage. Breakfast is definitely better than most hotels, with a great selection of hot food, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and toast. The dining room is a pleasant place to eat. The reception staff are welcoming and helpful. Thank you

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone lukewarm shower, lots of things broken,restaurant is hit or miss if they have the ingredients or get your order right
