The hotel was really close to the airport, around 15 minutes far. The room was nice and clean, the front desk was helpful.

The city is small, so you can go anywhere within 40 to 50 minutes on foot! Rudaki Park has a large symbolic national flag and a museum. I also recommend visiting the National Museum near the hotel to see the real Reclining Buddha (50 somni for foreigners)

Overall, this is a very satisfactory hotel. The restaurant's buffet food is delicious and it's nice that it's available in the evening as well. I'm deducting one star because I can't use the outdoor swimming pool right now.

A very, very bad hotel! 1. The front desk service attitude is poor. If you don’t know the local language, you must communicate with local friends, otherwise chickens and ducks will not be able to communicate at all! 2. If you want a couple to move in, that is impossible unless you can provide a marriage certificate! 3. If you don’t have a budget of US$200, don’t check in. Even if you have booked a room on Ctrip, the front desk will give you various reasons to prevent you from checking in. Amazing, right? Another friendly reminder: As long as the reservation is successful, no one will care whether you can stay or not, or have other reasons, but the money will not be refunded! 4. If possible, I would like to give 10,000 negative reviews, is that okay?

Hygiene: clean and tidy environment of grace

Very good, relieves travel fatigue

Located in the heart of the city this is a lovely hotel. The rooms are large, decorated in a middle eastern appearance with lovely big chairs & very high ceilings which is a nice change to the often bland sameness of other five star chains. There is a large walk in shower & also a bath. But a bit strange that the only way to turn the bathroom lights off was the master switch so everything went out. Keeping the door closed at night was the only solution. Beds were large & comfortable, the pillows a bit too soft for me. The TV had a few English speaking stations & the free wifi was reasonable. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of hot & cold food although the service was somewhat slow when ordering eggs & cleaning the tables. But overall I nice place to stay.

What can I say is that Dushanbe Serena hotel absolutely nailed being a luxury hotel! The staff are very hospitable and professional. They tried their best all the time to accommodate my needs and the service is just absolutely marvelous. As a Hyatt Loyalist, I am very picky of hotels I chose and I decided to give Serena a shot and it did not disappoint. My room is absolutely lovely and how I expected a cultured luxury hotel should be, comfortable, modern, fully equipped amenities and a perfect touch of traditional Tajik culture without looking like a tacky museum. This hotel exceeded my expectations and I cannot recommend it enough! 5 star perfect stay for me!

The hotel staff/managers do need to improve their professionalism and adequately value their guests.

It was really a nice experience. I was there for 28 days. All days were awesome. Staff is so nice. Available at all time.
