We stayed at the Hopping Hare as our friend was having her birthday party at the venue. The staff were very welcoming from check in to departure, everyone agreed the three course meal was absolutely superb and we were very impressed with our room - spotlessly clean and well appointed. A special thanks to Jenny who checked us in and for whom nothing was too much trouble - she was super-friendly, extremely helpful and hilarious, all in one bundle!

Excellent and friendly staff. Fantastic food cooked by great chefs. The poached eggs are the best in the UK! Everything cooked perfectly. Rooms are nice. Parking is ample. Beds are comfy as are the pillows. I would definitely recommend a visit to this family owned hotel.

Stayed here for the weekend whilst attending a family wedding. The hotel is excellent, lovely, well appointed rooms and great service. Ate of Friday in the restaurant where the food and service were of the highest standard. Breakfast both days was also extremely good. Staff are to be complemented on their customer service. All,in all a great two night stay in this hotel.

A lovely hotel, with very welcoming and friendly staff. The booking process was straightforward and the hotel was accommodating when our requirements changed. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated, with thought given to the facilities provided. Breakfast was very good and our dinner in the restaurant was excellent. If we visit the area again, this will definitely be our first choice of hotel.

My friends and I went for lunch today,. The food was lovely , it looked and tasted fantastic. We were all very happy with our choices. I have to mention the lady who served us, Jenny. She was fantastic, a real asset to the place . We will definitely return.

I have eaten lunch/dinner here, and on both occassions the waiting staff and chef were happy to ensure that I had good food that wouldn't make me ill. The breakfast was superb - on both mornings I had a cheese and mushroom omlette that was fluffy, and stuffed full of delicious mushrooms and cheese.

Generous size room, immaculately clean although could benefit from new curtains. Outstanding restaurant with great selection of quality dishes. Pork loin with Hispi cabbage was fantastic, as was the Lemon Tart desert. Good value. Location not the best.

I went with friends on a Saturday evening for a meal. The food and service was amazing! Best meal I have had in a long time. Best lemon tart I have ever had. Great a**osphere and staff were friendly. My friends were raving about their food too. Going to be my go to now for a nice meal locally.
