Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Eagle River/Anchorage Are

This was a horrible place. It smelled, they had the heat on, it was VERY HOT. There was cigertte holes and couldn’t sleep at all. Only there a half hour. Went down stairs and asked about the air and if there was air conditioner. There wasn’t one? What place doesn’t have air conditioner and has the heat on when it’s 70 out side? It was a horrible place and they wouldn’t give any of my money back? Who does that?

Enjoyed our stay thanks to the microtel employees. I would definitely recommend and return for future trips. They even welcomed my dog (who may seem scary but is a sweet girl and service animal)

Clean, quiet, affordable

I thought I was booking in Anchorage Micro as when your online booking is reads micro Hotel Eagle River/Anchorage what it doesn’t tell you is that your reservations are automatically booked for Eagle River, the staff was very nice, polite and understanding.

Very disappointing. We choose this facility with some level of comfort because of the name of "Wyndham" associated with it. The first room they showed us was repulsive--marks on the walls, drapes falling apart and window seat upholstery fabric filthy. We showed management the online photo of a room and asked where THAT ONE was and she said "Oh, they probably made the bed look nice that day for the photo"--not! They then offered us a suite which was a little better but not much-- the leg on the dining table in that room was caving in. The ceiling fan was covered with dust hanging from it. The only thing positive was the front desk person was pleasant and tried to make things better and the bed linens and towels, along with the bathroom were pleasantly clean. It appears that Wyndham is buying up old, sorely in need of renovation, independent hotels and slow to do much with them. We will seriously reconsider staying at a Wyndham hotel in the future
