The Limes Country Lodge Hotel & Admiral Restaurant

A smart hotel with very attentive staff and not expensive. Lovely food too.

Nice hotel, minor issues in the bathroom with limited loo roll and a lost earring found, but reported to reception and easily resolved. Room itself was clean, comfortable, and great shower.

Great hotel. Very clean and really nice staff. Dinner was a little disappointing. Short staffed so no opportunity to talk to anyone. Room was amazing, great added touch of the fridge in the room

We had such a lovely time on Saturday, myself and 2 friends had afternoon tea. A lovely feel about the place, beautiful setting, the young man who served us the whole time was amazing, attentive, friendly, didn’t rush us, even bought a scone out with a candle for my friends birthday and started us singing to her. The afternoon tea itself was delicious, a variety of mini sandwiches, lovely cakes, lots of tea and we had Prosecco too! Great value, we’ll definitely be back

Friendly, very welcoming, helpful staff. Good selection of bar food for an evening meal. Good full cooked breakfast. Bed a little soft, but then others will think ok. No phone reception indoors (for O2 anyway) so made calls outside. Good internet connection though.

Hotel reviewAs l walked in the smiles were infectious with a welcome in befit of an old friend 😀 l was give the new block with an amazing view of a floodlit waterfall and county garden viewThe room was cleaned with detail in mind and prepared to 5star standard in anough towels to dry a family.On the the night l arrived there was a private party about to start and the whole staff carried the excitement in the air ( a birthday surprise )It all went fabulous including 80d sound tracksThe locals chanted away to me and l would recommend a stay just for that but it got betterI had breakfast in the admiralty a boys/man’s dream below the spitfire with models hanging from each rafter and war memorabilia festooning the wallsI would love to vist in the summer as outside was a captains bar of the same themeThank you team you were amazing

Great room, cosy bed, very clean great facilities. Good breakfast and a beautiful location, love the added music outside. The only reason I haven't gave it a 5, is I would recommend bank hoilday breakfast time to be added somewhere for people to see as we got a little mix up with time. This isn't anything major and I would recommend for people to stay.

We had our function here for about 85 guests, from start to finish the hospitality of all involved in this booking was very professional nothing was to much trouble. The day went of without a hitch all staff where very welcoming and made the event special. A number of the family’s stayed for one night we stayed for two and once again all staff where excellent. We also had dinner and breakfast there, again the food was excellent. Did notice the lady who served breakfast was also the one that cleaned our rooms what a lovely lady very-up beat and pleasant made you feel special. One more mention goes to Abi for making our day something to remember thankyou.

Overall my stay at the limes was lovely, room was clean and bed was comfortable and well stocked up, overall staff were very helpful and friendly. The reason I’m giving this a one star review is due to having witnessed the owner of this hotel talking to his staff in an awful way one morning during breakfast. While I was sat having breakfast the owner came in complaining about anything and everything, up until 5 minutes before the staff had been very attentive with keeping drinks filled up and taking orders, it seemed everyone came down for breakfast in one go and they were doing everything they possible could to keep guests happy and taking orders. The owner stopped one member of staff and instead of offering to help them and offer support, spoke to her in an awful way and clearly embarrassed her in a room full of people with no regard to the brilliant job they had been doing prior. Not even 20 minutes later the owner was in the reception area speaking to more staff in an awful way who were setting up for an event. Having to witness this awful treatment of staff has put us off from returning to this hotel.
