Susquehanna Manor Inn

When we found ourselves needing to go to the Columbia, PA area, we had no iea where to stay but I found the Susquehanna Manor in a Google search. What a lucky find that was. The room was lovely and the breakfast was out of this world. It was both delicious and plentiful so we could go about our days and not have to worry about eating until dinner. Thanks to Rachel our trip was really wonderful.

This is such a beautiful place, the hosts are so so friendly, the food is delicious, the rooms are beautiful, the history is rich, the conversations meaningful, and it was a fascinating mix of welcoming kindness and thoughtful beauty! I would highly recommend staying here!

The room was warm and cozy and the owner and her daughters were wonderful. Can not say enough about the fabulous breakfast.

We had a most delightful stay! The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Towels were large, soft, and abundant. The breakfast was delicious and care was taken for every detail. Our hostess was attentive and made certain we were comfortable and had what we needed, including thoughtful afternoon tea and snacks. Since we reserved several rooms for our extended family, Rachel went above and beyond to see that we had room to gather and that everyone enjoyed their stay. She also offered great suggestions for the surrounding areas - there is SO much to do close to Marietta! We have already planned to come back next year.

My family booked Susquehanna Manor Inn Bed and Breakfast for a holiday event from 12/31/23-01/02/24. My 87-year-old grandfather-in-law spent $3,000 so that we could enjoy the holiday together. Unfortunately, all did not go as planned. Around 1 AM on New Year's Day, we found live bed bugs in the Marrietta room and the Quinten room. After the bed bugs were found, one family from our party left and booked a new hotel room around 2 AM on their own dime. The rest of us checked out early and spent the next 24-48 hours washing and cleaning everything we brought into the Bed and Breakfast. Some items were not salvageable and had to be thrown out. Our weekend was ruined. We contacted the owner, Rachel Patterson, and asked for a full refund. Not only did she refuse to give my grandfather-in-law his money back, but she told us there was nothing she could do for us at all. No discounts. Nothing. I never leave negative reviews, but here we are. It was clear that she (or someone from her team) knew about the bed bugs. (See pictures). They still rented the house to us without a word. We gave her several opportunities to make it right, but she refused. I do not recommend staying here.

If you love historical homes and antiques, you will love the Susquehanna Manor Inn!! The wraparound porch with the view of the river was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and the hostess was accomodating and helpful.

Great a**osphere and histotic region

The homemade breakfast was delicious, the ease of booking was easy, the owners were so friendly and helpful but the cleanliness was not go great. Under the beds and behind the beds were filthy as well as many cobwebs.
