Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel

The room is very clean and the hotel is very conveniently located next to the beach. There is a swimming pool in the hotel, but this Marriott is a bit old and the facilities are a bit old. The breakfast at the hotel is very good and worth recommending.

The room was clean and the location was great. The night staff was very helpful as we arrived very late. The breakfast was average. We were assigned to the back building (not very satisfied but not bad). Try to book a deluxe room with sea view (in the main building). 3.5 stars out of 5 for value for money.

I booked the King Deluxe Room and was sent to another building outside the main hotel building. I had to walk through an open-air parking lot. I didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel at all. When I had breakfast in the morning, I had to walk through the open-air parking lot in the rain. From the parking lot, you enter the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. The room is clean and the air conditioning and hot water are sufficient. Unfortunately, the window looks out at a wall. Looking out the window feels like living in a prison. Free water is provided in the hotel lobby. Disposable paper cups are placed on the countertop, but there are no trash cans. All used and unused paper cups are placed on the countertop. It is impossible to tell whether they are clean or not. The level of hygiene is really shocking. People are disappointed.

The hotel is in a very good location, with the beach at the door and beautiful scenery. It is also close to the city center. The hotel's English breakfast is delicious, and the fish and chips in the restaurant are also authentic. If I stay here next time, I will choose this place again

The room is big and the breakfast is good

Stayed for three nights, the service is hard to describe. On the first night, two of the three lights in the room were not on. One was repaired due to poor contact, and the other was said to be replaced the next day, but there was no news until check-out. On the second night, the shower was broken, and they said the engineer had gone off work and had to fix it the next morning, or change the room. I didn't want to change, so I just took a shower. On the third day, there was no hot water. They came to check and said it should be a problem with the central hot water system. They called me after they fixed it. I waited for two hours, but there was no response. I tried it and it was fixed. I lived in a cottage. When I checked in, I saw a dead crow on the driveway at the door. I called someone to take it away, but no one took care of it. The next day, I went to the front desk to find someone, who said they would call the colleague in charge of public health to deal with it, but still no one took it away until the third night. I walked with my head down every day when I went in and out. The more I was afraid to see, the more I could see. The equipment is a bit old, the maintenance is OK, and the hygiene is poor. The door of the bathroom is white, and the place where the hand that opens and closes the door is black. I believe it can be wiped clean if I clean it carefully. The location is very good, on the cliff, with great scenery. I have stayed at the nici opposite before, the price is similar, but the facilities and services are much better.
