I loved that the entrances for the rooms are all outside, the water pressure for the shower was phenomenal. The rooms are simple and cute and affordable!

The photos of the property are deceptive. This is a dinky motel with dirty beds and rooms that are far less nice than the photos imply. When I noticed this, I tried to get a refund but since I technically accepted the key for the room before seeing it, they refused to honor the refund. I had to go to a different hotel and ended up doubling my budget for my vacation but it was worth it to get away from this place. Avoid at all costs.

Booked for a quick, inexpensive overnight stay, the Pier Blue met my needs perfectly. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Being able to park my car right near the door to my room was an added plus. Under similar circumstances, I would book again.

Unfortunately, we were not able to make our planned overnight in Old Saybrook. The Wednesday before we were to arrive on Saturday, my husband had a gout attack and could not walk. I called on Friday (one day after the free cancellation period) to let them know we would not be coming. I knew it was after the cancellation deadline and asked that possible they would waive the cancellation fee or let use those funds for a future stay. Unfortunately, to date, my calls have fallen upon deaf ears. The management has yet to return my calls after seven days. For this reason, I cannot and would not recommend staying here. There are other places with the same amount of stars and price range. Please give your business elsewhere.

This is a wonderful place to stay for the price. It was clean, the desk person carried my bag up to my room and gave me two bottles of water. It is close to shopping, food and the highway. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very comfortable although the bathroom needs an upgrade but for the price it was good. The staff was extremely kind.
