Nice room and helpful staff. Manager very polite and accommodating.
Very useful to have a bath and shower.
Breakfast was adequate and flexible.
I cannot comment on the restaurant as we did not try the food. We were pre-warned not to and online reviews rated them 15th out of 17 local places.
A little shocked on the last night when a glass of wine with a splash... and a double Vodka & orange cordial cost £20. Definitely would not drink there again.
We would certainly consider staying again if in the area.

Very good service, ferry delayed from Guernsey by 3 hours, but manager stayed until we arrived, just after 11. Comfortable beds ,very nice breakfast and pet friendly.

Good Rooms, Good Food, Friendly Staff. Warm. friendly and efficient staff who are a credit to the pub / hotel. Good location for Portsmouth, Hayling Island and surrounding environs only a short drive away. Clean, tidy and well-presented rooms. Minor issue with a light which was promptly repaired by staff. Very good cooked breakfast, decent evening meal at reasonable prices, good selection of beer and wines.

What a wonderful place. Stayed for 1 night for a nearby event. Staff could not be friendlier, atmosphere with big open fire was perfect and the breakfast in the morning was way above your standard B & B. Room was immaculate and the free “extras” a real treat. Couldn’t recommend more highly and a great vale for money night away. Only wish we’d been able to eat in the Hog that night but we were already committed. Superb.

Attended a small wedding reception hosted here on a Friday --spent 2 nights and was awestruck at how well run the place was. Super friendly, super efficient staff, everything clean. Food excellent at every meal. There was nothing too much to ask. Room clean, quiet, well thought-out. Cozy fires. Clever, clever ideas to transform a country pub into a lovely reception venue. Always one step ahead. Hot drinks on arrival. Late night fish and chips served at reception end. Plates and drinks all filled before you could ask for them. Great coffee! This place could teach some 5* hotels a thing or two. Kudos to all the management and staff.
