Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Lancaster

Very clean hotel, everything was really nice. I have to say it’s the nicest place for the price I’ve stayed at and I travel for a living staying somewhere about 4 nights a week. Mark this one as the one to stay at when you’re close to the area.

Room was clean and nice. Staff was nice. The only things that concerned me was that we were woken up on our last morning at 6:50am by the fire alarm. My husband and I jumped up got dressed and ran down the stairwell and out the bldg yet no one else did nor did the staff come check to make sure everyone was fine. Turns out the oven set the alarm off but no one was informed what happened until we came around the front where staff were confused why we were asking. Then told us it was the oven yet no one else in the hotel was alarmed about it. Even the fire truck showed up. We went back to our room and proceeded to shower and pack up. Also breakfast was ok I was surprised if no bacon or sausage etc. only eggs, potatoes and gravy for biscuits. There was a pancake maker which was fine.

We were supposed to stay two nights but left after one because of the noise from the two highways on either side of the hotel. The hotel itself is poorly positioned between these two roads. You can't escape the road noise no matter what room you are in. In its favor, the building was clean and the front desk personal exceptionally helpful. Very little staff on duty. The same young lady who checked us in had to come to our room to fix the TV and run back and forth for keys to move us to a different room. No manger on site. We arrived early on Saturday afternoon, found it necessary to ask to speak with the manager but was advised that the manager would not be there until Monday morning at 9:00 AM. We found the location and the related problems unacceptable and would never stay at this location again.

Staff, location, and room were great. The breakfast was an excellent start to the day. Will stay here again in the future.

Annual Mother's Day ge away. Trip to Sights and Sounds. Then dinner at Miller's.Saturday did a little shopping at Tanger Outlets ,then head over to Shady Maples for dinner.

Staff was very nice and accommodating especially the cleaning staff and their supervisor. Rooms are very clean but could use some minor repairs, bed was very comfortable. Traffic especially trucks using Jake breaks were noisy, would be my only issue with location. All in all we're looking forward to coming back here again.

Smaller hotel right off of the highway; very clean with all the conveniences needed. Beds are very comfortable with nice size bathroom. Free continental breakfast which I found sufficient.

Spacious room. Overall clean but refrigerator had black mold on door due to someone turning it off and closing the door. Good breakfast but toaster not working.
