We are from Bulgaria and we were a group of 8 people and we had 5 days at Banka and 5 days at Bunaken. Half of the group is with photography equipment and I want to tell you that we are impressed by Bastianos! The resorts are very nice, the food is delicious, the service is great both in the restaurant and on the boat! We had two great guides Ivan and Lan who were constantly showing all kinds of macro stuff, some very rare! I highly recommend Bastianos!

Wonderful resort with outstanding, extremely hard working staff. You are in a remote area so you do want to pack everything you might need. I packed an air mattress and was glad I did as I prefer a softer bed. I liked the outdoor shower and restroom. I didn't realize for 3 days that I was turning the hot water handle the wrong way on the shower, so if it's cold... try the other way. Prepare to wade in the water to get on the boat over to the island. Once at the resort, be prepared for a lot of stairs! The diving and the pool were great. Massage was limited due to masseuse injury but was available at a decent price. That needs to be pre-arranged. I don't eat fish/seafood but was always able to find plenty to eat. There's an afternoon treat around 4PM that was always delicious. The stars were really the staff. I hope to return.

Like so many people, we dived the triangle... Besides Lembeh and Bunaken, Bankga was the third stop. Well, in general we really enjoyed our stay, but it has significant flaws compared to the other two resorts. Stay: + Room clean and beautifully located - Roof leaks when it rains heavily (Bungalow 5) - Rare hot water - WiFi only works in the restaurant area + Sensational bartender (thanks Kari) - DISASTER BAR..!!! No music, no a**osphere, no spirits for drinks? When there was something, Kari conjured up sensational, top-quality drinks... - Missing tip box + Very good cuisine - far too few fruits on offer Diving: + Very helpful and super friendly staff + Worthy of 5 stars + Beautiful diving spots with variety between macro and corals + Our guide Angga had a sensational eye for macro - guiding in general still has room for improvement... Sometimes a bit uncoordinated between the guides (crowd of people between two groups) and also on drift dives it makes less sense 1 hour against them Paddling in the current when beautiful drifts could be dived... But all in all we had a lot of fun with the stay... But with a cozy bar ambience, sales in the evening could certainly be increased a bit...

Dear Bastianos team, our vacation at the end of May was a while ago and hardly a day goes by that I don't think back to Bastianos. We (a couple) stayed at Bastianos Bangka for 5 nights at the end of May and we will definitely be back. We were lucky enough to meet Barney (marine biologist) on the flight from Singapore to Manado. Dear Barney, it was a pleasure to meet you and to be able to dive with you. It is incredible what we were able to learn from you about the underwater world, both above and below water. You were the icing on the cake. A diving hotel with marine biologists, it doesn't get any better than that. We had a bungalow right on the beach. The bungalows are very nice. You immediately feel at home. The bathroom is an open-air bathroom and spaciously designed. Since there were "only" four of us in the hotel, every menu came straight from the kitchen and was chosen beforehand by the chef. When we arrived, we were able to say straight away what we didn't like about the food and this was taken into account. The food was phenomenal. We always had a starter, main course and dessert and the food was unbelievably delicious. Everything was always delicious. There was also a lot of variety: fish, beef, shrimp, chicken, asparagus soup, tomato soup and so on. A big compliment to the kitchen. About the staff: All the employees are super accommodating, helpful and just lovely. Mina, thank you for looking after us so well during our stay. We enjoyed the conversations we had together. Jessica, you are always doing well. She is always in a good mood and greets you with a smile for breakfast in the morning. The guys on the boat and the rest of the staff were just great. Everyone really made you feel welcome and everyone helped where they could. About the dive guides: you have incredibly good eyes. Without you you are really lost. We were extremely lucky that shortly after Indonesia opened up there were only four of us in the hotel. The four of us split up between two dive guides. Every dive was super relaxed. From leaving the jetty to the dive itself. That was absolute 5 star diving. All the equipment is brought onto the boat by the staff and set up. You just have to put on the neoprene and do a quick check. Then it's off into the water. The underwater world - breathtaking. Colorful and lots of small things. On the first dive we saw pygmy seahorses. It was unbelievable. Some of the creatures are so small that you need a magnifying glass. The guides really showed their talent on the mug dive. We saw so much (2x small frog fish, seahorses, shrimps and so on). So this is the right place for diving, especially for small and colorful ones. We saw so many nudis. And almost none twice. An absolute highlight, as already written, was the dive

I spent 10 days quarantining in this beautiful resort. The resort manager Mina is great, always quickly responds to any guest requests and even was able to find me coconut oil in Manado. However, my biggest concern is amount of plastic pollution on the beach. It comes with the sea current straight to resort shore line. It needs a major clean up! Few suggestions : -ear plugs! Jungle noise sometimes is disruptive. -Mosquito spay. -Chocolate and tasty healthy snacks. -Books to read! Internet works only at the restaurant and Only on one device at a time. So for example, connecting cell phone and laptop the same time is not possible. While standard rooms are the most affordable, the biggest minus were paper thin walls! I Could hear my neighbor breath. The best choice is the separate bungalow. Number 10, 12, 14 are the closest to the router and it might have wifi. Beach front units are ok, since the beach is so filled with plastic, and trees leaves. Overall I enjoyed my stay, especially the full service part ( airport pick up& drop off, snacks, scheduling pcr tests, the staff being very accommodating to guests needs).

What an amazing place to spend 10 days in quarantine. Mina, Jessica and the rest of the staff were amazing. Rooms were great, AC worked well, beer was cold , food was good - if you have a chance to come here for quarantine - DO IT!

Totally relaxing short break at this fabulous dive resort one hour north of Manado. Great staff made it all the better. Very good snorkeling spot at the end of the jetty. Food was excellent and really enjoyed the BBQ Highly recommended for anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful break
