We had a great time in Gulu with the most lovely host Ilona. Located only 15 minutes from East London Airport, the resort is a little paradise above the Gulu river. The resort has a restaurant were we had breakfast and dinner. We only stayed 2 nights, next time longer.

We receeive a warm welcome from Eleona (spelling). Another lady helped us by making fire for us to do braai. Our breakfast was so delicious. The grounds were so perfect for a walk, do some exercises & we took lots of pictures. The price is very much affordable.

Went to Gulu this week on business and can't wait to go back with the family. Clean rooms, friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious. Wifi not reliable though. Still perfect location if you don't want to drive through East London to het to the IDZ.

There’s no iron and no means to get one. The parking situation is exhausting. The parking space available is really small. I was unable to park near my room, my car was parked really far which was very inconvenient for loading and unloading luggage. If you’re like me, you don’t like dogs, scared of or allergic .They have a dog and it was introduced to me on my arrival and allowed to get close. I feel this was inconsiderate… Ilona was however friendly and helped with sorting out my booking issue.

This by far one of the best resorts we have been to. The rooms were cozy, well kept and very clean. We enjoyed the whole ambience of the place. The service was impeccable and the hosts and chef were top tier. Thank you for making our honeymoon an unforgettable one. Regards The Bili's

A break from the rat race was needed and the photos of Gulu Private Resort on their website, was exactly what we needed. And they did not disappoint. Our weekend away was everything we hoped for. From good food, friendly owners to canoeing. We even got our own personal tour guide who answers to the name Rolo! We loved everything about our stay. Here's wishing GPR many more happy and successful years. And please give Rolo a pat from us. Jay and Serena

We had a great and memorable weekend in Gulu Private Resort to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. It coincided when they had a Pilates class that weekend. As guests we were able to join. We canoed for about an hour afterwards, The room is clean. The airconditioner in the room is most welcome especially on summer. The food is also very good and delicious. The hosts are friendly and very accomodating.

The units were very comfortable and well equipped. The food was great and we could enjoy sundowner drinks on the deck while looking out over the lake. We had to leave early and they arranged breakfast parcels for us. We will definitely be back
