A gorgeous place, beautifully appointed - everything is 'just so', from the fabrics in the room to the lovely breakfast, colourful pool loungers, amazing fluffy towels and sweet-smelling toiletries, but what makes this place is the incredible welcome by a charming multi-lingual young couple. Pierre and Antigone are the u**ost hosts, always ready to chat but also happy to let you be if you want a bit of solitude admiring the view. I was touched by the way Antigone, realising my husband had a bit of trouble with stairs, changed our room to one with fewer stairs, with no fuss and without being at all patronising, quite the opposite. Our room was on the small side but well appointed, with a gorgeous turquoise bathroom and a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The only issue I would mention is that the bath plug did not work but it had a good rain shower over the bath. Breakfast included freshly pressed orange juice, delicious local pastries and egg dishes (the scrambled eggs with tomato on our last day were excellent), fruit salad, creamy yoghurt and more, with everything beautifully presented. Last but not least our dog Bubble was made so welcome she didn't want to leave! She could play with the house dog Lola and brown Lab Bruno from next door came to our door every day to ask her if she wanted to play. I think he had a crush on her and will miss her. Alistos means 'unforgettable' and we will definitely remember this place.

What a gorgeous hotel, tucked away high up in the hills above Gythio with beautiful views across the olive groves. Lovely big bedroom, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. The pool area is very chic (as is the rest of the hotel) and the owners are charming. We had a delicious lunch by the pool one day and drove down to Gythio and Glyfada beach for a couple of dinners.

Wonderful family owned place. Perfection in the details, calm retreat in the surrounding hills. Beautiful pool merging with the environment, bedrooms and beds of very high quality. Well managed. We strongly recommend the experience.

An amazing place to visit. The property is in a wonderful location for a quiet and rejuvenating holiday. The exceptionally aesthetic rooms with their cute balconies overlooking the vast nature and the incredibly kind hosts, Antigone and Pierre, will make this stay unforgettable. We have just spent 3 incredible nights at this truly wonderful hotel. Pierre and Antigone are such amazing hosts, so hospitable and always keen to make sure we were having a superb time. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated, also has the most fascinating family history. The setting in the hills is spectacular, it's so picturesque and tranquil, the perfect place to chill and unwind, we would definitely recommend a stay here!

Antigone and Pierre made us feel so special. From the welcome throughout our 3 day stay they were always willing to give helpful information about the area. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing The entire property, both inside and out, were beautifully maintained. The history behind the property enriches your stay.

6 people travelling, including 2 young children: Very friendly & professional hotel owners who arranged for us the logistics & transfer from Athens airport (large, clean and luxurious bus shuttle with friendly driver). The hill view from the hotel is simply amazing, with a very relaxing area around the pool. Rooms are well designed and very functional (we had a Suite). For the sport lovers we are - there are great & cardio intensive running tracks possible from the hotel (around 8 kms circuit, keep some energy for the way back !). We truly felt home throughout our stay - a big thank you to Antigoni & Pierre for the great moments. We will be back ! Alex & Family.

This has genuinely been one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have wished for more. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had perfect water pressure, breakfast was an utter delight (presentation and quality of the food is top notch), and the pool has the most perfect views and great water temperature (not to warm not too cold). Views from the hotel were incredible and the a**osphere is very very special. In the evening we enjoyed sitting under fairy lights on the terrace listening to the cicadas while enjoying some drinks. Simply phenomenal!!
The highlight will have to be Pierre and Antigone who run the hotel. They are the loveliest people, really want to make your holidays special (they both learned hospitality in Switzerland and you can tell) and have great chat. Only downside was that Lola, the adorable little Dachshund, did not pay us as much attention as we would have liked but I think that’s ok in the grand scheme of things 😉 We will definitely be back!
