The whole stay was great, I needed somewhere to stay while work was being carried out on my house. The rooms are spacious and have bathtubs, there was a big desk for me to work at and the internet connection was perfect, I had multiple video conferences and it never dropped once. Housekeeping were kind enough to check if I needed anything everyday, and reception staff were super friendly.
Right next to a massive national trust property had some beautiful autumn walks
However there is absolutely no phone signal (Vodafone)obviously nothing to do with the hotel it’s just extra info about the area!

Great location as it’s so close to the park with lots of potential to be great hotel. However, the decor is awful, food and service terrible and there’s definitely a lack of general cleanliness. In need of a refurb and new staff.

The hotel staff was so polite and helpful, the hotel room was spotless, the room was very spacious and perfect temperature. The bed was amazingly comfortable! It catered for all of our needs especially with a fan because myself has troubles sleeping without one.
The hotel was in the perfect location and easy to access on route to next location.
The Wi-Fi was a little disappointing with myself needing to check work emails and service but nothing that caused to much hassle on our stay at the hotel
Will definitely be booking the hotel again

Enjoyed our stay although spa could be leaner with hours in pool it’s not good 2 hours when you have 4 year old that wants to swim all day meals was rather expensive for the quality of the meals and wait time is not good room was clean but outdated the bed was hard which I didn’t mind but partner not so pleased one of the younger boys that works there on the night shift was very rude actually looked out of tbh (***** maybe or alcohol) just didn’t seem right breakfast staff amazing ladies I was also impressed with the cleaners on returning to room it was like new again even though we didn’t ask for it so was a pleasant surprise majority of the staff were pleasant and nothing is to much trouble there’s just a few bad ones oh the signal is crap and Wi-Fi is even worse.

If you want fawlty towers this is your place the actual booking of the spa weekend was dreadful nobody would get back to you , we should have taken that as a sign!! Treatment times were changed without informing us!!but treatments and treatment room were ok, you just need to be aware that you may get a male therapist which we we not about , as not everyone is comfortable with that , for religious reasons or even marriage reasons!! Spa area need some TLC Rooms were clean and it was nice to have 2 bottles of water in the room But the evening meal was a shambles, don’t go in after 8 pm as you will get your starter and main course all together as the kitchen closes at 9 so don’t even think about deserts!! As I was highlighting my concerns about the stay his eye contact said it all he wasn’t bothered!! And just told me to write him an email stating my issues of the stay!!

A bit disappointing when we arrived and found the “kingsize” bed was 2 singles pushed together and the mattresses were different (one hard, one soft) and there was no fridge in the room when it was advertised with one. The receptionist was great though and gave us a different room (still 2 single beds but the mattresses matched) and she physically carried a fridge from another room to ours.
The rest of the stay was spot on. Quiet, relaxing, good food and all the staff were amazing. Thank you for a great weekend
