Beautiful setting and a cute town in the heart of the Austrian Alps Lake District. The breakfast was great with many selections. Parking is a bit of a problem with limited space for unloading only near the hotel. Highly recommend this location for easy access to Bad Ischl and Hallstättersee without the crowds.

As has often been said here - image and reality do not quite match. The web and social media presence suggest something different to what you find. The hotel is small and very winding. There are 2 parking spaces in front of the building for loading and unloading, the parking space itself is a bit further away and unfortunately there are not enough spaces there for all guests. Lucky are those who manage to get a space (which you share with customers from the pharmacy and sports shop). The room with balcony was nice and spacious, modernly furnished, the bed was quite new and we slept well. Above all, it was nice and quiet. Everything in the bathroom is a bit old and smells a bit unpleasant (the scented stones placed everywhere only help to a limited extent). At breakfast, things were constantly being refilled, the staff were very friendly and committed. The selection is OK, you get full. Despite everything, the hotel is well suited for a short stay or stopover. A reference would say "they tried very hard".

The hotel is getting old and the furnishings in the rooms show a lot of signs of wear and tear.
The shower cubicle is broken and the bathroom is not very attractive.
And at €125 per night for a double room, that is definitely too expensive.

This is an adequate hotel with amenable staff. Be aware that there is NO elevator so be prepared to climb 3 flights of stairs. I would not recommend this for anyone with any sort of mobility issue. The designated parking area was full. They dis allow us to stay on the parking spot in front of the building but since there were signs everywhere saying this was not allowed, we were a little concerned. The room was sparse but reasonably clean. Great view out the window. One thing they need to change is put glasses or cups in the rooms. Nothing to use to drink water or brush teethe. Also, no toiletries, so plan accordingly. All-in-all, the hotel is fine, but nothing to get excited about.

Location-wise not bad. We chose Family Studio with Balcony or Terrace. We were 3 in number and there were 2 separate rooms with one bed each. No restaurant and unmanned hotel. It seemed that the hotel owner is not interested to talk when needed. We called the owner to know about the restaurant facilities but he could not explain it very well. may be he was expecting us to speak German. But our German skill is not so good. The hotel is over priced.

When we arrived there was no one at reception, but the key was ready. It worked well. There was practically no parking space, or 2 small ones for unloading, but it was practically completely parked and there was no possibility of unloading in the second lane, the parking space described was difficult to find at night, no one answered the cell phone or called back.
Room very nice, very clean, good mattress, slept well.
Breakfast very good, very friendly.
Be careful! No elevator
Staying with dogs was not a problem from the hotel, but there was only a street for walking the dogs in the immediate vicinity.

The breakfast was top rate, very nicely decorated area, the food was all fresh and tasty. Well done hospitality.
THe room was a bit cold, but i realize it was first week of cool weather, and maybe furnace wasn't at full steam yet.
But the staff was friendly, the town is very picturesque, i would surely go back to this place.
