The rooms are very simple and not really clean. I thought it was stupid to remove a large spider. The location is great, but you can't get there by car. You have to carry your bags a long way.

Positive: good location, perfect shower, decent breakfast, hygiene bathroom ok
Comments: room view on flat bitumen roof. Friendliness of some staff members could be better. There is an annoying step of a few cm to the bathroom

The hotel service is very good. It was originally one of the hotels under Best Western, so the hardware configuration is still good! The room has a small balcony, but it smells fishy when it is opened! It may be because it is close to the seaside

When we arrived at reception we were asked in English if we could speak English?
I said, we are in the Netherlands, right?
I thought I was in Spain because everyone else spoke Spanish!!
The Dutch is completely gone.
Parking costs you €15 per day.
We have seen it there at Spaander.

Wonderful in the center of Volendam! Good parking and a very nice view. Slept on the loft. Unfortunately the curtain above could not be closed. The air conditioning keeps turning on, that was a downside.

Well situated hotel along the main tourist stretch, breakfast is well worth it though the day I visited they were a bit overwhelmed with a big event so service was a little stretched. Room is spacious but basic, the bathroom is quite small and when you use the shower there isn't good water capture so the whole place gets rather wet

Das Haus liegt wirklich mitten im Städtchen und am Wasser. Sehr tolle Lage. Leider ist das Haus arg renovierungsbedürftig. Restaurant war zu und das Internet sehr schlecht.

Ik heb echt nog nooit een hotel gezien met zo’n slechte service. Op de dag van aankomst werden we net voor aankomst in het hotel gebeld dat er geen kamer was en er was ook geen oplossing mogelijk en dat er nog 10 mensen waren die deze boodschap kregen. Oftewel wel moesten maar op straat slapen. We hebben gelukkig op het laatste moment (we waren al in Volendam) nog een ander hotel kunnen boeken, waar we de laatste kamer hadden. Spaander had nog wel even in de week erna de kosten van de kamer die we niet kregen van mijn creditcard geboekt. Na diverse belletjes en e-mail, geen enkele response vanuit Spaander en geen geld terug.
