Great proximity to the national park. I guess as it was the off season (although the park was very busy), the amenities across the road were closed.

The staff was very helpful. Calling ahead of time to tell what time the restaurant closed and reminder to let them know if you had a pet because pet space was limited.

Loved that it is close to Carlsbad Caverns. Google’s directions were unclear because the roads are not clearly marked, but we saw the sign and so got there.

From the street this looks like an old motel. While the architect is clearly from the 60s the inn is really nice. Our room was enormous, recently renovated and very clean. Honestly, I haven't been a room that large in a long time. It's location can't be beat either, you can see the park entrance from the parking lot. Great value!
