Econo Lodge Eden

We stayed at the Econo-Lodge in Eden in June. Although they have updated some of the rooms, the room we stayed in had peeling paint in the bathtub and old carpet. I know they have nicer updated rooms, presumably they were all occupied. I will probably ask for an updated room next visit

We stayed at this motel because we attended the Nascar race nearby. The price ($200) was normal for race weekend. I had never stayed at an Econo Lodge before, so I was skeptical. The room was basic, but not too bad. It seemed clean and the shower was good. The beds were reasonably comfortable and most things in the room worked correctly. The only thing that didn't was the light switch in the bathroom. We had to use the flashlight on our phones for light, but other than that, everything else was fine. It was quiet there and the lady at the front desk was nice. I'd possibly stay there again.

We came in to town for a funeral from South Carolina, we needed one night to stay. I usually read reviews but we were tired and Eden being a small town I didn't expect our room to be the way it was. After we got unpacked and inside we found dead baby roaches laying everywhere we decided that we just would not go barefoot we were tired ready to go to bed. I itched during the night didn't realize until the next morning when I looked on my neck and shoulders that I had bite marks all over me. I found dead bed bugs which I'm sure there was some live ones and that's what bit me. We decided to check the room over and make pictures and the bed skirt we lived it up and the box springs mattress had mold all in it. The tub had purple stuff all over it that would not come off We even joked was it luminol. We decided to let the manager know and she told us that we were liars that they had checked all the rooms and there were nothing like that in any of their rooms. The maintenance guy we talked to him and he said yes we've had a problem with bed bugs but we really been on it trying to get rid of them. It would have been nice to know that before we went in. The manager said we would not be getting any of our money back because they were not at fault we were lying. This place is horrible if you don't believe it read all the other reviews if I had read them we'd have never been in this situation. The sheets had cigarette burns and the bedspread also The pillows were nasty. It would not go through without me giving it at least a one or I wouldn't have given it anything

We know that the A/C sure was ice cold ❄️ but the only problem for me being disabled is that the Toilet Seats were very low. We ate at some great restaurants as well as my family and me had Papa John’s delivered to us on Sunday October 30th night!

So my pregnant wife, 3 kids and I went to Eden to visit family and decided to stay the night because everyone was so tired. Out of 3 hotels, Econo was not full. I go the room and looked all around inside and found a syringe under one of the mattresses. I have 3 kids!! This is very UNSAFE!! Either the maids are not checking and cleaning the rooms good, or the staff is leaving syringes for the ************ to use. Either way this is not right and I am very unsatisfied. Also if you want a comfortable bed, this is defiantly not the place for you. Make sure you check UNDER the mattresses!!
