The room is spacious, with a free coffee machine and breakfast croissants. Plus, laundry is complimentary. Since prices in the UK are quite high, it's great to be able to come back after exploring and cook some noodles. There's even a dishwasher, so no need to do the dishes yourself!

Fantastic location! Our front-facing balcony offered direct views of Calton Hill. To the left, we could see the sea, and to the right, the city skyline. A truly excellent experience.

The room was great – spacious, convenient, and affordable. The views from outside were lovely, and it was easy to get around. The bubble tea shop downstairs served really good bubble tea, just like the ones back home. My only issue was that when I booked through Ctrip, it said breakfast was available, so I added it to my reservation. However, when I got to the hotel, I found out there was no restaurant, which contradicted what was stated on Ctrip. Luckily, after I reported it to Ctrip, they quickly resolved the issue and refunded the extra breakfast fee.

The location is perfect! It's just a few minutes' walk from the Waverley Station Princes Street exit, right next to a shopping mall, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants – super convenient. The room size is typical for the UK, not huge, but you can open two medium-sized suitcases. The bathroom is quite spacious, and the shower has good water pressure. However, whether it's due to hard water or something else, it takes ages to rinse off soap, and there was a persistent body odor smell in the bathroom that just wouldn't go away, which was really annoying. The room comes with a microwave and an induction cooktop, and you can even see Calton Hill from the window. The mattress is on the softer side, so those with back issues should probably reconsider. The bedding felt a bit old and the cleanliness was just average. I brought my own, but it still felt a bit off-putting. There's a coffee machine at the front desk, and free croissants before 10 AM. The coffee beans aren't great, so it's more for when you're too lazy to go out, but there are tons of coffee shops and breakfast spots right downstairs, which is really handy. The front desk also sells snacks, drinks, and emergency toiletries. My last hotel was further from the station, so the close proximity and easy-to-find location of this one are big pluses. Overall, I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 for value for money. You might be more satisfied if you lower your expectations a bit.

The location is fantastic, right by the train station and close to all the main attractions. You can even see the castle from there, though I didn't opt for a scenic room – you can just go to the hotel's outdoor terrace for that. The room itself is very spacious and has a kitchenette, which is super convenient for cooking simple meals or reheating food. Highly recommended overall!
