The Townhouse - Leith

The place is absolutely amazing, look and feel even better in real life. The hospitality from Alexandra was very good too. We checked in pretty late but have no problem at all. This is a good hotel/home for families. My kids love the beds as well as the playground just in front of the house. Will love to stay here again if we come back to Edinburgh!!!!! Highly recommended.

Greeted by Erika who was happy to greet us and take in our baggage. The Wallace suite is beautiful, we had some bread and biscuits, also milk in the fridge . Bathroom was stunning with the best shower ! Bed was extremely cosy & comfortable. We shall most definitely return when next visiting Sunny Leith / Edinburgh. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💚

Alexander is the most attentive, considerate host. The details of the room are just glorious. The best of everything is provided in the exquisite rooms. We had the pleasure of booking the Robertson Suite. Its just regal perfection. Its unbelievable that this gorgeous boutique hotel is located conveniently in Leith which is a stunning coastal town and yet it is just minutes from old town and all the major Edinburgh sites. The buses in Scotland are also much nicer than the London ones ♥️

Had a wonderful stay in The Townhouse and enjoyed our time in Edinburgh very much. The building is right opposite Leith Links – a former golf course – now a public park and popular with local families, dog walkers and runners. A really nice area in Leith that feels cosy and laid back with not that many tourists. A little out of the way of all the tourist attractions, it’s still easily accessible from the city centre by tram and bus. The rooms were thoughtfully furnished and decorated and the kitchenette was a wonderful and very convenient addition. We were greeted with freshly baked bread and a bottle of milk by our lovely host Erika, which made for a fabulous welcome. They were also very responsive to guest requests, particularly trying to figure out how best to adjust the heating system, seeing how it was end of January. Would definitely come back.

The Townhouse in Leith is beautiful boutique hotel in the port of Leith north of the city of Edinburgh but close to all the city attractions via the convenient tram system. The hotel has been sensitively restored and decorated to the highest standard offering outstanding comfort. We could have accommodated two more family members in the adjoining bedroom with purpose built fitted bunk beds. Facilities included a fridge, oven together with dishes, cutlery and glasses etc so you can cater for yourself if you wish. The hosts were so helpful before we arrived advising on how to travel to the hotel. A warm welcome awaited on our arrival and we were given helpful advice on local eateries etc. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay and the hosts were constantly available via WhatsApp and could even adjust the central hearing remotely. We had a room with a view over the famous Leith Links and the efficient double glazing kept the external noise out. We would definitely recommend anyone visiting Edinburgh to check out availability here first.

On arrival, we were welcomed by the lovely Erika, who gave us a tour of the grand suit ‘The Robertson’ which was a stunning suit!! luxurious in every way, with a huge bedroom Space, separate kitchen & Bathroom area! Personal touches were fantastic, with the most beautiful hand wash & lotion, with the matching shampoo & conditioner & body wash. Erika had even provided the same brand of bubble bath so we could enjoy a nice relaxing bath after a long day walking in Edinburgh. The fresh bread went down a treat, also provided fresh milk & plenty of tea & coffee. Excellent location, really cosy vibes and all in all a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend & will most certainly return Lee & Sharon

I want to gatekeep this review - this was such a fantastic stay. The Townhouse is fantastic! Such great attention to detail and Alexander/Erika were so good at communicating with me; proactive and timely always. The room itself was large, spacious and so well appointed. Mattress was comfortable, the little kitchen perfect, the bathroom large and plush towels. Location is fantastic in Leith - close to so many cafes/restaurants and the beach is a 10minute bus ride or a 40mins walk. Couldn't fault this place even if I tried. Wonderful place and I will be back again!
