We checked in for a long-term stay and the Canon Court team made us feel right at home. The apartment is also very spacious and being on the second floor one has a nice view of the surrounding building. The rooms are clean and beautifully furnished and it is equipped with everything one requires. It is also in a prime location, making it easy to walk to where you need to be. I will highly recommend booking with them on your next trip to Edinburgh.

We booked in January for August 2023. On April 2 our reservation was cancelled. The reason they gave us: Our system declined your card automatically and reservations was cancelled. apologise for the inconvenience. There was no trouble with my credit card as I had used it the same morning and it would have been valid for almost another month. I added my new card but they did not accept it. In the first email I was told that I would have 24 hours to solve the problem, but the hotel cancelled our reservation after 5 hours. I sincerely do not believe that the card was the issue as I had read a few of the other comments on Google. Other customers had the same bad experience. Cancellation seems to happen at that hotel more often than at others.

Let our booking sit for a few months and then cancelled it in favour of a "large corporate client". Booking was for Fringe month too so of course all prices everywhere else have gone up. I suppose our money isn't good enough for them. Offered us a "good will" voucher for booking with them again which we absolutely will not be doing. Utter joke.

Cancelled our fring trip to make room for a "large corporate client having extended their stay" leaving us scrambling for a place to stay, cool stuff. Seems far more likely they've realised they haven't hiked their fringe prices sufficiently and would rather cancel than honour their existing bookings, but what do I know?

I made a reservation in January and two months later the hotel canceled it unilaterally, without letting me do any verification, with the excuse that my credit card is not working properly. I use that card daily without any problem and the next day I called my bank who confirmed that it was working fine. Therefore I strongly advise against booking at this hotel, they are not reliable and can leave you stranded on the street a little before your trip. I have been traveling for many years and this has never happened to me. I guess they have managed to get someone to pay a higher price for the reservation that they canceled for me.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. Echoing the other poor reviews. It's basically a shady AirBnB listing that hasn't been pulled somehow. I booked through *********** (you can't write a review until after you've stayed...) and about a month later, got a similar message that a frequent guest decided to extend their stay so ours would be canceled. They offered a discount for future booking (yeah, right), or to transfer us to another accommodation. Everything was already so expensive so we asked for a transfer--no word for a week. I kept asking for an update and nothing. I finally reached out to *********** and then Canon Court basically just canceled it anyway and refunded me. The other bad Booking reviews say that this place will do the bait and switch--give you a worse apartment than what you actually paid for. So be warned. Maybe you'll luck out and they'll actually let you stay there and it's a decent place. Or maybe you'll be left scrambling in a very expensive city. I wouldn't take the chance and I hope this gets pulled from listing sites. Seems like a scam.

We booked Canon Court Apartments Edinburgh for a large family group for a wedding, I had originally reserved through *********** but rang the hotel to enquire about disabled parking and was told to book it directly through themselves and cancel the reservation. I explained it was for a family wedding and we needed parking/lift which is difficult to find in Edinburgh. We booked directly with them as they convinced us they could offer a better service. Imagine our horror when so close to the wedding I received an email to say a big corporate client had requested to book the hotel and as it lined their pockets more they simply cancelled our fully paid up booking for the booked apartments. To add insult to injury they ignored all the emails to refund the money. They haven’t answered the phone all week, it’s a naff answering service and they never call you back, I have sent several emails as they continued to keep our money. Finally I resorted to contacting the credit card company to retract the payment, I emailed Canon Court ( 7th time) and left a voicemail saying I had done that, I received a pleading email asking me not to do a payment retraction and they had paid the money back and I needed to check ( followed by ???????) this an hour after the voicemail. No apology, no explanation. It’s now cost us hundreds more to book somewhere else, and we have had to cancel all other plans as we now cannot navigate ourselves around varying locations with a disabled guest at such short notice Canon Court you are an utter disgrace, you have made what should of been a beautiful family wedding weekend a shambles.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! Me and my gf are planning a trip to Edinburgh in May and decided on canon court for the reasonable price and location, we like to book these things early to get best prices but now a month away from our trip they abruptly cancelled on us, giving us a lame excuse saying “large in house client decided to extend their stay”. Now we’re left scrambling looking for a new place and have to pay more. The only help They offered was to place us in an alternative place or a lame £150 voucher to stay with them at another time, but then offered no alternative and just cancelled on us. Seeing some other negative reviews this seems to be a common excuse they use, this place has to be some kinda bait and switch scam. Save yourself the money and headache and avoid this place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Avoid. We were a party of 9 with 3 apartments booked. They cancelled our booking telling us they had corporate clients that wanted to extend their stay and needed our rooms. Being a large party, they have left us with little time and options to find somewhere else. Terrible customer service. Not to he trusted.
