A little hidden gem. David the proprietor was extremely informative on what to visit and see. Bus stop on the doorstep for the trips into the city centre. Well worth a visit. Alec and Kath. 8th Sept 2022.

Lovely area to stay in Edinburgh
Good access to public transport and plenty of places round about to eat. Lovely old house with lots of history attached. Comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast.

David was an excellent and attentive host. He was very kind and hospitable, his house is beautiful, the room was clean and well appointed with so much charm. Breakfast really set me up for the day, I cannot recommend anymore. I look forward to staying there again. My only criticism is the pictures shown of the property do not do it justice, I’d recommend updating these. This house really is a hidden gem

It’s was definitely a warm homely feeling. Very comfortable and inviting. The gentleman who owns the place was friendly and polite… and also not too chatty, which is perfect. One doesn’t want one’s ear talked off. It was the perfect stay. I felt like I could live in the room forever. Beautiful old world charm that you will never find in a Hilton, etc. will stay again!!!

This is a lovely B&B with great transport links into the centre. David is an absolutely wonderful host. So accommodating and friendly, he really made the stay so lovely. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quintessential Scottish experience. The house is a lovely period property, and the bed is sooo comfy!! I had such a great sleep. David made the breakfast to order and it tasted wonderful. He took my dietary requirements on board. I would definitely stay here again.
