Hotel Ceilidh-Donia

First of all wanted to write sooner this review, but wanted to give it the proper merits and time that it deserves. The location it is super quiet, considering how close to the city center it is, the building is gorgeaus, the rooms are super clean, cozy and the traditional decoration at great taste. Speaking of taste highly advise their breakfast. Unfortunately didn’t stay long enough to taste the entire menu! The Host it is so empathic and welcoming, most friendly character, we felt welcome right away soon as we arrived. Will be for sure again our place to stay once we return to Edinburgh!

A beautiful old hotel close to many of the attractions around Edinburgh. The hosts were exceptional, friendly and gave plenty of advice to see and do in the town. All the amenities in the hotel and our room were faultless. Breakfast was included during our stay; a hearty delicious porridge was a treat especially on a cold Edinburgh morning. We recommend Ceilidh-donia to anyone planning a trip to Edinburgh

I stayed here over the weekend for a family catch up. The hotel absolutely lived up to it’s great reputation. The welcome was warm- nothing was too much trouble, and we were given loads of information about the city and how to get around. The bed was comfy, there was plenty of hot water and the breakfast was delicious. This will definitely be my first choice for my next trip to Edinburgh!

From the moment we walked in the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Any questions we had they were ready to answer and any issues we had they were available to help. The breakfast was phenomenal, it was legit like a restaurant with full service not your typical continental breakfast. I would definitely go back!

Very pleasant stay. Nice room and very good breakfast. Very friendly owners. Good location within walking distance of Old Town or very good bus service. Plenty of bars and restaurants close to hotel

Absolutely superb hotel. Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Me and my girlfriend stayed for two nights in February and can't fault out stay at all. Kevin is a superb host. Rooms are very clean and tidy, beds are super comfy, shower is straight forward to use and powerful. Breakfast was delicious and there was a great variety of cooked breakfast options as well as cereals, fruit etc. They really left no stone unturned and were happy to answer any queries or questions we had about Edinburgh as a city. Kevin also gave us lots of useful information about local bus routes etc. Great value for money too. Love the way the hotel has an old fashioned feel to it too and feels very homely. Cannot recommend staying here enough!
