Code Co-Living – the Loft - Edinburgh

My stay was great, bed is comfortable and clean. The toilet and whole hostel is clean and new as well. Free coffee is available and location is excellent and near to the train station. However there wasn't any slippers for toilet use. Overall, the place is clean and pleasant.

The hotel is in good location , but next to restaurants so it was very noisy in the morning , when trucks unload foods .

Booking this accommodation without getting enough information，and it was not what I expected at all. At first look at the picture is a bnb type of room, the actual room likes a student dormitory with capsule beds. Totally not suitable for family travel, suitable for young people to rent or rest，it should be a youth hostel. The room was also poorly soundproofed and sounds could be heard clearly upstairs, down and in the hallway. The toilet is shared between two rooms, and about five or six people use one toilet. No towels were provided. The only good thing about the accommodation is the location and the friendly staff and other tenants. I had a problem when I checked in and the staff were kind enough to help me out.

Was a great experience staying here. Friendly people, great location too. Easy access and a safe location.

It was a Good Stay Pods. Carry your USB Type A Chargers as they Don't Have Type C or Plugs Near To Beds Or Pods. Apart from that kitchens and Utensils Were Clean. BED WAS CLEAN.Pleasant experience in terms of stays.

Just so-so. The toilet is not very good. And the lock table in the room is in bad cleaning condition. The rest is good.

When arrived in my room late in the evening after a long and happy day in edinburgh visiting a relative, I was confronted with an unmade, apparently already slept in pod. This was most distressing and annoying. With no reception to complain about this, I decided to sleep in the adjacent, unslept in pod. However, then in the morning I awoke to find my locker had been locked out during the night and I could not access my clothes and belongings! All of this hassle and stress meant I didn't get a win of sleep. On the plus side, when I called the helpline via Whatsapp, the problems with my locker were fixed quite quickly by the support worker, who was also very patient, polite and kind. So it's hard to give an unbiased report on my stay due to those issues - might be ok for someone else. In conclusion, this hostel will not be my first choice for somewhere to stay when I'm next in Edinburgh.

Cheap and convenient stay. Location is great. However, no services are provided at the LoFT New Town property. (No early check-in, no late check-out, no reception, no entertainment etc). Better off paying a little bit more and staying elsewhere and receive much better hotel/hostel services.

A few minutes walk from Princes Street puts you right in the centre. The beds were great, the pod style gives you maximum privacy. Using the app on your phone to unlock everything made it so easy to get in.
