Destiny Scotland - Thistle Street Apartments

Perfect location for enjoying this beautiful city and its attractions. Extremely clean, comfortable and modern. Greeted with a selection of beverages to put us on until we located a shop and also noticed how warm and welcoming the apartment was when we followed the simple instructions to enter the building. We enjoyed the short walk from this lovely apartment to visit bars, restaurants and popular attractions.

Excellent location. Fairly quiet side street. Amenities were good. Large rooms, very clean. Short of some dishes and serving spoons but we made do. Great staff were helpful with early bag drop off at the office location, 28 Thistle St. Would definitely return.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay with our friends. It was exactly what we wanted - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a comfortable living area and a well equipped kitchen. The location was great. Would stay here again.

We expected better. It was a spacious 2 bed, 2 bath apartment on the second floor. Views of a hotel room opposite and a covered car parking area at the rear. Loud bottle emptying/breaking glass every morning. It was clean and beds were made up. Towels decent sized. Location is very good. Kitchen had minimal equipment. Virtually no baking equipment and no coffee machine. Definitely under equipped. The worst aspect was no hot water or heating. The boiler clearly had a fault (it said so on it) but no one fixed it before our arrival. My husband got the hot water sorted but we had to wait a day for the central heating to work. It’s not good enough. TV was fine but sofa and chair had no scatter cushions. Pictures showed cushions. This made the sofa somewhat uncomfortable as it’s a cheap one. Post COVID, they really should be back. The flat felt bleak, grey and not homely. The location makes up somewhat for the shortcomings (bed not great either) but no hot water is unacceptable .

Stayed at 23 Thistle Street South West Lane in Apartment 11, which was on 6th floor - thankfully this building has a lift! I was with my teenage daughter for a some shopping and a night away together and this was the perfect base to reach shops and restaurants, and to get to from the train station. We left our bags both before and after our stay in the Destiny offices just round the corner which was perfect for us. The apartment was really well presented; bathroom is lovely with a great shower, bed was comfortable, kitchen immaculate, and bedding/towels really good quality. Would absolutely stay here again.

Customer service simply could not care less. Booked on last minute who sub contracted to ***********. emails from operator are not passed through the system correctly so you are unlikely to receive the information you need actually to enter the appartment. If your phone number coincides with that of the cleaner you will be locked out of your appartmentwhen you return later in the day. Customer service don't care because you hung up when told that the office was closed and failed to call the emergency number. No refund or interest despite being unable to use booked accommodation. 7 emails to operator between booking and arrival were replied to with answers that had nothing to do with the question. When you eventually get through on the phone you are told that the normal 24 HR cancellation policy does not apply and that you will lose your entire tariff if you cancel. Appartment is old sad and tired. Hot water does not work. Customer service does not care. Total rip off

Great location! Nice, clean and everything you need for two on a short stay in Edinburgh. We stayed in the ground floor apartment. Less than ten minutes walk from Waverley station with all the fantastic shopping, eating and drinking opportunities on your doorstep. No key system took just seconds to understand and means you can’t lock yourself out! A few light bulbs need replacing but generally everything was clean and in good order, with provision to leave suitcases close by means that we’ll use this company again.

Well located apartment short walk from Princes Street. Comfortable apartment - number 1 - on ground floor which is probably the downside to it. Some road noise at the front of apartment and door noise from other residents. Spacious and well equipped flat - as always destiny is a good, reliable company.
