The hotel is right next to the gate of Holyrood Palace. Through the window, you can see the pointed tower of the palace, full of historical sense. The room is very comfortable and it is very happy to make breakfast by yourself. The hotel is 20 to 30 minutes away from other attractions and the city center, which is not very convenient. There is no sign of the hotel, which is a bit difficult to find. There is no front desk and no service staff. Passwords are required to enter the hotel and the room, but they were not informed in advance. The family stood in the cold wind on the street for a long time. Fortunately, Ctrip customer service is awesome, and we communicated in time and got the password. The room is on the third floor, the stairs are very narrow, and it is difficult to carry the luggage up. This is the first time to stay in an apartment-style hotel without service staff. It still feels inconvenient, including the use of some equipment and facilities in the room. You have to figure it out by yourself (again, praise Ctrip hotel butler, remotely solve the use of induction cooker, very patient). Although encountering various problems, the hotel itself still gives people a unique feeling. After all, it is separated by a wall from the Scottish Royal Palace. When you get up early, drink tea and look out the window, history is in front of you.

This was the worst experience ever in the UK, bar none. Let’s talk about the hotel first. You work 4 days a week. When we arrived at the hotel, there was no front desk or staff. They called and told me to go to their branch to get the password. I couldn’t figure it out. You work 4 days a week. , and the guests have to come to you on their own. You open a chicken-feather hotel. I wanted to store my luggage when I left the hotel, but there was no one... Ctrip, can you clarify the hotel's services before putting them on the shelves? Don't harm customers like this. I spent more than 7,000 for 3 nights. This is the hotel you recommend? There were people smoking on the road in the middle of the night. I was taking my child with me, so no one would be responsible if something happened. I didn’t check into the hotel until almost 2 o’clock in the morning. It was raining lightly. Have you ever thought about how your customers are feeling? Come on. I'll compensate you with a few hundred yuan to prepare the matter, but you're short of a few hundred yuan? In the first photo, I was going to store my luggage when I left the hotel, but there was no one there. In the second and third photos, everyone is messy in the wind...! n

1. The location of the hotel: Adjacent to the entrance of Holyrood Palace and Calton Hill, go straight for a few hundred meters to the Royal Mile, and walk about one kilometer to Vivalli Station. Basically, most of Edinburgh's attractions and shopping are solved by walking Although I am a little tired, I can experience the local scenery and people in a down-to-earth way. Hotel environment: small and beautiful, the surrounding environment is very quiet, there is an exquisite garden at the back door of the hotel, and there is a very warm reception room on the first floor, most of the time there are no staff there, guests just push the door in and want to lie on the sofa to rest , drink coffee, go to the bathroom, wash and dry clothes, you can do it all by yourself here, feel free to do it without restraint Room facilities: After check-in, the hotel will send me a password. This password is common to open the reception room on the first floor and the room. It is very convenient to enter and exit without having to bring the room card; our room is on the third floor, and it is a bit inconvenient to carry luggage up , thanks to the help of the hotel administrator; the room is newly renovated, everything is clean and tidy, and the room temperature can be adjusted; there is a small kitchen at the entrance, which basically meets the needs of self-cooking, thanks to this kitchen, the problem of eating is solved ( Edinburgh really has too few food options); we are a family of four staying here this time, in addition to the 1.8-meter bed in the room, the sofa in the living room is pulled out to a double bed, which is quite comfortable; the bathroom has a lot of space . The view outside the window is beautiful, quiet and comfortable. Service: Peter, the hotel manager, is very kind and patient in introducing us to the surrounding areas of the hotel. A few tips: 1. There is a small Chinese supermarket (it seems to be called Meiqilin) and a Tasco about 400 meters away from the hotel. It is great and solves a lot of food problems. 2. It’s very cold in Edinburgh in the morning and evening, so remember to bring thick clothes. 3. If you need to go from Edinburgh to London (or if you need to travel around various cities in the UK), it is recommended to buy a train pass in advance (two days in advance on Ctrip, and one day in advance on Taobao) to buy a train pass, which is cheaper than buying a single trip A lot, our family of four traveled from Edinburgh to London, went to Cambridge and Oxford in London, bought a three-day pass, and spent a total of less than 4,000 yuan (one way from Edinburgh to London for four people) It costs 3,000 yuan), and the pass can be used on any operating company’s trains on any train, which is very convenient.

The decoration of the room is exquisite, sanitation is done every day, and the window faces the scenery of the garden. The service staff are also kind and friendly. The location is close to the Queen's Palace and the Scottish Parliament, and very close to Arthur's Seat. The disadvantage is that there is no elevator, and it is inconvenient if you have heavy luggage. In addition, the shower in the bathroom is not fully enclosed, and some water will splash when taking a shower. However, the room is well heated and the water on the ground dries relatively quickly.

Easy walk home down slope from city center. Perfect place for Uber drop off and pick up. Comfy bed, and seating. Kitchen had enough. Temp easy to regulate. Hop on off bus stop right out front along with city bus. Super safe for a single woman or lbgtq even at night. Nice views from apt. Lots to do w/I a one block radius. No lift may be an issue for some. But overall great location and stay!

Property itself excellent. Service communication needs work. ******* didn’t send the confirmation email the day before as stated. This should have enclosed access codes to property. Advised to down load both ******* and Cheval app - neither could provide missing information that was in absent email. Phone number in app and in property window went to voicemail. Helpful assistant on further telephone call guided us through access and forwarded email. Seamless service design is essential for good travel experience. Hope this can be improved for next customers as the property and location was excellent

We booked the apartment as we were getting married at the city chambers in Edinburgh. The location is stunning. Full of historical interest and a royal visit thrown in. Couldn't be better
