This is for the SPA only as we didn’t stay in hotel. The only reason I am leaving a 2 out of five score instead of 1 is down to the attentiveness of your staff members within the spa, Abbie and I did ask the other ladies name but have since forgotten my apologies on reception were great. Magda and Alexandria gave myself and daughter a very good facial. The morning pastries in bar area were fresh and still warm and service was good, just a shame bar was freezing to sit in. The spa itself and I quote is sold as ‘The Sleeping Beauty Salon where We aim to combine excellent treatments carried out in a relaxing environment’. This morning this was definitely not the case, overcrowded we had to sit on hard rattan seats as the 6 loungers were taken whilst listening to children shouting and screaming. Couldn’t get into steam room as was full, we sat in reception area again on hard seats I would say for just over half an hour to try and get away from the noise, to sit and listen to the thumping beat of the music in the gym area as that is beside the reception. The receptionist spoke to us and said that yesterday was even busier and noisier, then later came to us and told us the pool was child free, so we returned to find a young boy around the age of 5/6 sitting in the sauna. Then when he left the sauna, walking round pool area throwing float around waiting on his papa who eventually came out of sauna about 10 minutes later. Surely health and safety comes into this! After our facial at 12 we sadly left as just no nowhere to sit and enjoy any tranquility. Since returning home I have now recieved receipt for our not even 3 hour visit and see that we were charged for robes/slippers and toiletries..i understand the need for washing robes and costs but everywhere I have been to previous this is part if the experience, we DID NOT receive any slippers and when we were given the two small sample sizes which we were led to believe these were complimentary. Today was meant to be special as we chose here to celebrate my daughter birthday and I left very deflated and upset as it was just not a good experience at all. I am sad to say I will not be recommending your spa to friends or family. I would like to hear back from yourself regarding this feedback please.

I went to the Sleeping Beauty Spa with a group of friends for a celebratory hen day. We had a great time using the pool and sauna (the steam room was out of use) and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and patient with such a big group! Special thanks to Meredith who provided my treatment, it’s rare to find a therapist with a sense of humour and she made my experience even better, thank you!

This hotel was a disappointment. It is old and tired with the front of house and bar staff barely making an effort. The tubs are dangerously high from the floor and two of our party experienced near falls despite using two points of contact exiting post shower. I have lovely bruises to show for my stay. The halls smelled musty. The breakfast was painfully mediocre. We previously stayed at the Radisson in London, which was amazing. I will most likely choose other hotels for my future holidays.

Situated near the bottom of the royal mile, it’s the perfect hotel if you’re driving and you want to be city central. Parking was just £15 a day for guests, the railway is a 5 min walk if we wanted to venture out without the car, but you are in walking distance for most of Edinburgh. We had the superior room which was very good. Secondary glazing did not stop all the street noise, but they do supply earplugs which we did use. The bathroom Is very small- the shower is awesome - great for long hair!!! Good pressure and easy to use. Very easy to use. Bad layout though as the glass shield door doesn’t really stop the water getting on the floor. There are free standing toiletries which are all lovely - but there are three bottles attached to the wall and they are not easy to use. Badly placed as when you finally get the nozzle to work it shoots out at a rate of Knott’s in the opposite direction to which you’re prepared for. Nice big cozy towels though. Rooms are lovely and clean, good room service. Comfortable bed although the beds are two singles put together with a dip in the middle. Free bottles of water each day which were very handy with water and fruit available in the lobby. The stairs are hard to find and not labelled which is not good I think. Swimming pool is quite small, but it’s a nice spa area with places to sit. We had breakfast one morning which was very nice - but it’s expensive compared to what you can get down the road. Although the automatic pancake maker is worth checking out.

Visited the hotel recently. It was in a great location, all of the staff were very friendly. The Junior Suite was spacious and ideal for two adults and two children. It could have easily accommodated another child in there. So many lovely little touches, like fresh water bottles each day, lots of lovely toiletries in the bathroom. You could help yourself to coffee and tea in Reception area. Both the swimming pool and gym were spotless. The minuses were that the bar area was a bit dark and lacked atmosphere. Normal hotel prices for drinks. The hotel is cashless, which I don’t understand, because cash is still Legal tender. I prefer to use cash but there was no option to do so. Great stay in a great city.

To whom it may concern, I booked your 5 * Collection hotel in Edinburg for a high price, without realising that as the NHS worker I have a discount. I was advised that I could get an upgrade due to this and rebooked again. Then I was told that your Collection hotel will be still closed at the time of my stay. So I was rebooked at the Radisson Blue, which was disappointing in itself as this is 4* hotel. I was promised further upgrade if available. The hotel was empty on the day if our arrival. I asked reception for the promised upgrade but was told that this was already done. The room was a suit, which I was promised initially but see the photos below please. Stains, scratches, really not something that you expect when you intend to stay in a 5* hotel and especially when you pay for it! Disappointing even more knowing that the hotel was empty and closed for long periods of time due to SARS-CoV2 pandemic and at least stains could of been cleaned! Friendly staff at the breakfast though! Kind regards, Dr Asatiani

Disappointing, we booked for radisson collection and received a call day before saying due to building work we were being moved to radisson blu, we were told our room would be upgraded 2 levels to a premium and we would get free parking so thought that was reasonable. My expectations for what we paid were pretty high, over £400 for 2 nights inc breakfast, What we got was distinctly average and no where near worth what we paid. The room was cold, dark and very dreary, no remote for TV, no milk for tea/coffee, no mini bar, no walk in shower, just a bath with shower in it. Staff at reception were pleasant and friendly so no fault there at all. Breakfast again disappointing, had to send back as it was cold for reheating! We paid extra for breakfasts but were so disappointed on the Saturday we went elsewhere on the Sunday! I’m honestly not one for complaining and had we only paid maybe £100 -£150 it would have been ok, however for what we paid s it was so disappointing, would not recommend at all!
