We stayed twice at the Riccarton Inn. It's traditional with a pub up front and rooms at the back. Very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. This is not a hotel chain but an individual inn. The rooms are not new, nor full of modern amenities as some would require. The mattress was creeky. Nevertheless, if you want a truly Scottish experience full of authentic ambiance, you cannot beat Riccarton. We ate breakfast and dinner in the inn and found them delicious. Had to hop on a couple of buses to get there from the airport, but that was part of the fun!

Fairly basic accommodation which more than anything is value for money.
It is a bit dated but then it is a pub after all and never likely to compete against the big boys.
Clean, comfortable and helpful staff.

Direkt neben dem Bett in unserem Schlafzimmer war Schimmel. Das Hotelpersonal wusste das bereits und hat nichts dagegen gemacht. Die Nächste sind zudem eisig kalt und es zieht. Es ist so feucht, dass sogar die Tapete geplatzt ist. Weiterer Schimmel ist im Bad zu finden. Das Essen war jedoch super

Maybe it's time for them to invest in a new mattress, ours was undulating!! Very nice food and cheerful staff.

Bar area was really nice. Staff were great. Area was inviting and nice.
Good parking, excellent out door area.
Food was lovely.
Bathroom needs to be updated, cracked tiles, shower area needs resealing. Nothing major just small bits.
We would go back.

The accommodation was ok, clean but a little rough around the edges. The bar food was good but very few vegetarian options on the menu
