Stardust Motel Inn

We are easy going folks. All we need is clean room. This is not it. It wasn't dirty. But everything was old, run down. Mismatched. Price was only 55. But did not make up. For the fact that the bath tub/ shower was so stained. I was not going in it. (Look like it was there from the 50's.) Room had an odor. Went to Casey's and brought some febreeze. Look elsewhere or ask to see room first

Shower did not work. Cold water only. Faucet for hot did not work and cold barely turned.Hot water in sink took at least 5 to 10 minutes to get hot. Only security for door was the chain. Bed was clean and reasonably comfortable. TV worked.

It's a little place.

I booked a room from out of state for 2 weeks; I had stayed here last year at about the same time. There are 2 motel units, one rents at $55/night, the other at $65/night. I was placed in the higher-cost room. I discovered the first evening that the door would not lock and the TV would not turn on. There was insufficient lighting in the room. I reported these issues last year during my stay, but the room door did lock some of the time. I told the manager on the next morning of the issues and she suggested I move to a different room. i had expensive gear and did not want it stolen. I was moved to the cheaper motel for the remainder of my stay. Fee was paid at $650 for the higher priced room, so I was due $150 refund for the lesser room. Management denied my request and kept the $75 difference for the first week. I left one day before the 2 weeks were up, and should have gotten a Refund of $55 for that night; also denied, and I should not have paid for the first night as it was an unsafe and inadequate room. The corrupt owner in CA would not compromise at all and kept my $195 illegally. Very poor quality motel.
