When we arrived the hotel was bustling with delegates from the college football bowl convention, which was interesting, they had a big party in the street with a drone show just down the street from the hotel, however the pool was closed fro maintenance during this time? The valet was prompt and charged our electric car, We were upgraded to a suite from a standard room, probably because it was the only room available, I had asked to have the stay linked to my Marriot bonvoy points, Which I was assured it would be. We needed to extend our stay by a couple of days and here is where the issues started, because I had initial booked with *******, I would not be able to get the same room at the same price, even though I was upgraded, and I would not receive Marriot points fro the first two days. We were not given the option to move rooms, but I doubt we would have wanted to. The hotel itself was decent, or room was ok but a little or the tired side. There are two great bars one off the lobby and one on the 10th floor by the pool and gym. My wife used the Spa and would recommend it although it was on the pricier side with respect to the type and duration of treatments offered. We did not eat in the hotels there are many local restaurants that provide excellent food and reasonable prices. There is a Cigar lounge, the staff are welcoming and attentive, We did have to ask for fresh towels etc on two occasions, and the housekeeper entered even with the do not disturb sign up. and the door jamb inside our room was split so our door would move anytime another guest opened or closed their door in the same hallway as the air pressure changed which was annoying, we did bring this up with the front desk but didn't see anyone from maintenance. In summary it was probably still a great place to stay if you are in El Paso, but since been told by locals that hotel Indigo is the place to go.
