Royal Sun Resort

The hotel is incredible. We stayed in the standard suite and were given the 4th floor. The bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet, so we slept very well. The bathroom was ultra luxurious with large walk-in shower and good quality hairdryer. The terrace views are stunning and there’s table with chairs and 3 loungers. We wanted to dine in the Aqua restaurant, however the choice of food was very limited. Only 4 mains and tasting menu (which had uninspiring mains as well), so we ended up only having cocktails on their terrace, which were lovely. So was the breakfast in the other restaurant, which had all you could think of, including Cava. There were only few minor dislikes, there was construction all around the hotel, so not very appealing to walk through. There was no washing machine. The hotel car park was full, so had to look for parking elsewhere. All in all I would definitely return.

Excellent room and views of the harbour. We used the swimming pool was delightful but very strong chlorine dying my swim shorts. Despite the issues with building work in terms of access it did not affect our stay as we had a car and chose to park for free on the roadside. Have been visiting Royal sun since 1998 and will continue to return.

This was our 4th visit and already can't wait for next year. We always stay B&B as the breakfast is the best and you even get a nice cold glass of Cava. There are some really nice restaurants in the village but it is a bit hard walking back up. The hotel is lovely and clean and the rooms are really nice and well equipped with everything you need that's why we love it so much and keep coming back Thank you Royal Sun see you next year x

Just back from another wonderful week here. We love this hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful - they really do aim to please all guests. The whole hotel is kept so clean. We paid for parking but it is very reasonable for the week and is peace of mind knowing our rental car was in a safe car park. There were roadworks going on along the road whilst we were there but we couldn’t hear or see them from the hotel and the road workers were excellent at managing the traffic to keep it moving smoothly. All the rooms have very large balconies with both sun and shade, amazing views, loungers, table and chairs. We paid extra for a jacuzzi room for one night and it was worth it. Beautiful views from a quiet jacuzzi and a special mention to Carlos for arranging it all at short notice. The pool area had plenty of sun loungers available every day that we were there. We went half board this time and are glad we did. Breakfast and dinner every day was great. Plenty of options and all the restaurant staff are excellent. I can’t remember all their individual names but special mention for Javier - he works so efficiently and takes such care in his work. We can’t wait to return again!

Stayed for a week in Aug’24. We absolutely loved our spacious apartment and it’s huge balcony with sun loungers plus a table & chairs for an alfresco lunch or evening drinks. The woodwork in the apartment could do with a refresh but the sofa & chairs were new and we had everything we needed including a fridge freezer, cooker & dishwasher. Everything was spotlessly clean and the maid came daily. The quirky design with the windows from the walk-in shower/bathroom down to the corridor below meant there was a nice gap between bedroom & bathroom so I wasn’t disturbed by my partner going to the loo during the night (we’ve previously had a frosted glass door shining light directly into the bedroom which wasn’t ideal). We didn’t use the swimming pool during our stay, preferring to sunbathe on our balcony which was very peaceful and there was no disturbance from the building work going on down the street. The Royal Sun is right at the top of the resort so be prepared for plenty exercise if, like us, you have a daily walk down to the harbour and beyond to explore the neighbouring resorts. Now onto the negatives. Our outbound Tui flight was delayed by over 2 hours meaning we arrived at 12.30am. Once checked-in, the night receptionist directed us back out the hotel to use the other door further down the street to gain access to our room. Firstly the glass doors were locked after 10pm & it took us a while to realise we needed to use our room key to gain access (on a couple of occasions this didn’t even work though) then the lift was out of service so we had to carry our cases up severs flights of stairs. It would appear that the elevator in this half of the hotel has been out of service for a very long time and it doesn’t look like they have any intention of repairing it but the main lift from beside reception would have accessed our floor at the other side of the swimming pool which would have been much easier had the reception staff told us this. Building work - they are building a new apartment block next to Crystal hotel so the road and pavements have been dug up. You have to walk past it all to get down into the resort and when returning in the evening it is very dark on the street so we had to use the flashlights on our phones (all other streets are perfectly well lit, it’s just the road that the hotel is on). Food - we had enquired by email at the time of booking then again just a couple of weeks prior to arrival if they could cater for us both being vegan. We were assured they would be able to do that. Because we had missed dinner on arrival, they had left a platter of cold meats & cheeses plus dry bread, plain lettuce leaves, yoghurts & bananas in our fridge. We weren’t even told there was food in the fridge for us and at 12.30am, we just went to bed but more importantly, being vegan, we wouldn’t have eaten most of it anyway. Dry bread, lettuce & bananas isn’t my idea of ‘dinner’ so it meant we only got dinner 6 nights instead of 7. Unfortunatel

Lovely hotel very clean and spacious we had a luxury room it was perfect very clean and everything you needed, the views were beautiful food was good but breakfast was definitely my favourite so much to chose from, all staff were lovely but Manu stood out by a mile for us his customer experience was on point and he made the most amazing cocktails they were that good we had one or two daily 😀 the
