Ideal location if you want to go to Port Aventura!!! Is the best option. The hotel is very well equipped and decorated. The breakfast is very good. It's worth going.

In general, everything is correct. Huge room and extremely comfortable beds. However, we stayed in a Callaghan's Superior room, but without the details like the Colorado Creek Superior rooms (no bottled water, for example). It is noticeable that the quality of the hotel's food at dinner and breakfast has dropped a lot compared to other times we have stayed at the Gold River.

Wij verbleven in The Callaghans. Dit zijn iets andere kamers dan de reguliere kamers en waren gelegen in een ander gebouw dan de standaard kamers. Het hotel is prachtig, schoon en de kamers stellen niet teleur. De foto’s doen de kamers te weinig eer aan. Ze zien er goed uit, zijn prima onderhouden en ademen het wilde westen. De hotelingang naar het park is enorm fijn en het ligt perfect! Half uur eerder toegang is iets wat ze erin moeten houden, maar zorg er dan wel voor dat iedereen z’n ticket al heeft kunnen scannen voor 9:30 uur, er wordt nu tijd verspild met wachten. We waren positief verrast. Receptiepersoneel is oké, ik vind het wel echt raar dat ze met je praten via een microfoon. Vind dit erg onpersoonlijk overkomen en minder hartelijk. Werd mij een verkeerde kamersleutel meegegeven, waardoor ik iemand anders z’n tickets had. En dat terwijl ik mijn paspoort aan haar had gegeven, wel erg slordig. Ze geven weinig extra informatie en gaan vooral voor snelheid en niet voor een extra stap. Dit mogen ze snel weghalen. Wanneer je vraagt naar de beste route naar Salou met de bus is de vraag of ze een taxi voor je moeten bestellen, want ze willen hier wel graag cashen. Ook voor het stallen van je bagage in dit 4-sterren hotel vragen ze geld, hoort dat niet bij het hotel als een service? Overal staan automaten om express passen te verkopen of een extra Ticket voor Ferrari Land. Ben zeker tevreden met dit hotel geweest, dus 4 sterren.

Just returned from a short break at Hotel Gold River with Jet 2 holidays. Fantastic themed hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Only a 5 minute walk and you are straight in to PortAventura World. We had a room in the Callaghan hotel which is a short walk from the main block. This was a really quite and peaceful location right next to the Hotel Mansion de Lucy. The room was large, with two very comfortable double beds. Good sized bathroom with a bath and shower and plenty of towels.. The is a free safe inside the large wardrobe and a fridge, if required. We had an early flight so arrived at the hotel about 11am, checked in straight away and was advised that a text message would be sent when the room was ready. We left our suitcases in a locker which cost 5 euros for the XL size. Room was ready by 12.15pm. You must download an App on to your smart phone to allow you to book meal slots. We were on half board and advised by staff to book breakfast slots for the duration of the stay. The slot we had was 8am to 8.40am, word of advice you have 40 minutes to eat your breakfast, so don't arrive late!! For evening meals we at once at the buffet at Gold River and the other nights we ate at La Liga and Ristorante Cavallino (inside Ferrari land). You have a certain amount of credit for your evening meal and you just pay the difference. Weather was excellent, hardly any queues in the park and all in all we had a great time. Having been to Euro Disney, I would say that PortAventura themed hotel and park are far superior and better value for money.

hotel en pension complète. si l'on ne tient pas compte de la qualité toute relative du buffet les conditions d'accès au restaurant même en réservant sont tout simplement pitoyables ! si vous ne faites pas 40 minutes de queue pour manger on vous tolère au service de 22 h. une vraie honte pour un établissement soit disant 4* !!!

(+) La ubicación es inmejorable, dentro del parque y con acceso directo. La decoración y todo el atrezzo están muy conseguidos y es agradable verlo y pasear por la zona. Disponen de un gran número de cargadores eléctricos disponibles para los huéspedes del hotel. (-) En cuanto al parque, no sirve de nada que si te alojas en sus hoteles te dejen acceder a las 9:30 al parque si las atracciones no abren hasta las 11:00, al final das vueltas por el parque sin poder hacer otra cosa que no sean colas. En general, la amabilidad del personal fue bastante justa, sobre todo si lo comparamos con anteriores visitas que habíamos echo al mismo hotel, por ejemplo a la hora de hacer el check in o en el restaurante. Los precios en Port Aventura son desorbitados y del todo injustificables. La habitación necesita urgentemente un buen mantenimiento, puertas, armarios, espejos, suelo, ... es bastante decepcionante el estado de la habitación, sobre todo teniendo en mente que estamos en un alojamiento que se define con 4 estrellas. Tanto en el desayuno como en la cena la calidad de la comida ha disminuido considerablemente con respeto a anteriores visitas.
