The Golden Frog Inn

The room was as described. Bed was comfy, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Dining at the hotwl was fairly priced and good quality food with good service.

This was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was perfect from the room to the food but the best part was the staff. They were so accommodating and friendly and made our stay even more special! The food and drinks were also great and the views from the room were incredible. Highly recommend staying here!!!

We had a good stay at the Golden Frog during our recent trip to El Valle. The location is a bit out of town, so better if you have a car, but a really beautiful, peaceful spot with nice flowery gardens. Some of the staff were very good, while others seemed to be rather inattentive at times which could be very frustrating at times. Our room was excellent, with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains – great for watching the incoming electrical storms! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained – we had very peaceful sleeps. Unfortunately, the Wifi did not work at all during at our entire stay which was very disappointing. We made use of the hotel rental bikes for a ride around the area. For the most part they worked but were in need of maintenance – we had one mechanical breakdown. Overall we had a good stay and would recommend it to other travelers. If the Wifi had worked and if the staff were a bit more attentive, I would’ve given it a 5.

The good Large rooms with beautiful views Great breakfast Nice gardens and surroundings The not so good Staff: Panama feels it’s still very much h developing its tourism and the staff here really showed they don’t have a clue how to offer customer service. They cannot speak English ( ok maybe I should speak Spanish but if you want to offer good service, English is kind of the way to go), they have no interest in the beautiful natural surrounding instead choosing to play loud party music, the same 10 house music songs over and over and over. I want to hear bird song not that. I wrote an email but was told it’s for happy hour. But it played from 4-10 on. Staff were also more interested in watching football. Again reply from management: they are allowed during their legal 30 minute break. Of course staff needs a break but they were all watching tv in the bar which is not professional. I was so disappointed in this place that they do not enhance the beautiful surroundings and talk to us about the birds and nature. Another reviewer mentions sloths. We didn’t even know we might see them there. The girl at reception was so disinterested in any kindness or help. You feel why am I paying good money if hebt don’t care that I am here. General feel: pool area is run down as well as other public places. 6 loungers for a hotel with about 12 rooms is also not enough. I have given it 4 stars as rooms were lively and view is so amazing
