Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elgin

Very nice hotel i love ❤️ this beautiful place my room is very cleaned

Room was clean and comfortable, 10 minutes from the Sherwood Forest Faire. We got the 2 queen bed suite, plenty of room for 4 adults and room to stage our gear and get ready the morning of the faire. Unfortunately, as with most of the Holiday Inn offerings the breakfast wasn't entirely desirable, but blueberry muffins and bananas aren't a bad choice.

The television had 4 white spots in the middle of the screen. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean. Only had liquid soap. I prefer a bar so I bring my own.

Friendly staff. Good location for what we were needing. Didn't get much sleep the first night due to our neighbors slamming the front door multiple times throughout the night (not the staffs fault) Room was clean, there was a bit of a musky oder when we first arrived. All in all I've been in worse hotels for sure....

The room was very clean and comfortable, with just the right number of amenities. The breakfast left a bit to be desired, as the eggs were cold and had been there for a while. The turkey sausage was delicious but cold. Everything else was excellent, and the staff was very helpful!

My husband and I were just there the other night...The hotel itself is very clean and nice looking...The staff were very friendly… I have a bad back and that bed was too hard...Holiday Inn Express usually has comfortable beds but not this room.. I about fell in the shower multiple times, because the tub was super slippery. I had to stand on a washcloth to help add some slip resistance...Then we went for breakfast at 9 am and they were out of practically everything and they weren’t making any more…So my choice was all cold food except for oa**eal...There was one semi-warm cinnamon bun…Then I went to get a refill on coffee and we all know Holiday Inn Express is Always great at keeping coffee around for the most part...But they were all picked up and put away…The Front Desk Lady told me Sorry breakfast is over… I said y'all usually keep coffee around and breakfast hasn’t been done that long... She said it’s Texas and it’s too hot for coffee. I’m a born and raised Texan and I didn’t get much sleep the night before and had a 2-hour trip ahead of me was super tired and just wanted some coffee..I mean it was only 9:30-10 Am… I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who would’ve wanted more coffee… Bad customer service… I don’t think I’ll stay there again…Beds aren’t comfortable and you can’t get a good breakfast or coffee in the morning for the price we pay…

Room very clean and comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeper got us everything we needed and fixed what we needed. Bed and restroom very presentable. Great for rhe price . Would diffantly stay again next time we come down

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable. The carpet was very wet by the window, but I think it was because of condensation or leaking from the A/C unit. Several USB ports in the outlets by the bed didn’t work and need to be replaced. The breakfast was very good, and the area clean.

For the price of the room I would have thought the amenities would all be available. We were in need of a washing machine, but ALL of the laundry rooms were broken. We were told that there was a 24 hour laundromat just down the road. It was late at night and I didn't feel safe going.
