Stayed here wit a colleague and we were both really underwhelmed. The lounge area was cold. The bar had no draft beers working. Very few wines available. The room itself was very tired and the mattress badly needed a topper. The TV was the smallest I've seen in a hotel room. The bathroom really needs an upgrade too. Really shabby. On the plus side, the breakfasts were very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A credit to the hotel.

Well.. i will give an honest review here. i wouldn’t recommend to anybody. We booked through itison who currently have a deal on for a 2 night stay at this hotel. We were called at 3pm (check in time) to inform us our booking had been cancelled for the second night… the hotel were “full”. well after driving 6 hours to Elgin i can assure you this is not what we wanted to hear. This was not resolved and we had to leave after the 1st night. After checking in, this wasn’t such a bad thing. The leisure facilities were all of a sudden closed on arrival so unable to comment on them however the rooms and extremely dated. The carpets are torn, stained, and not in great condition at all. Our door had a hole right through it where it had previously been kicked in i guess. After some research on our way home we discovered the hotel was housing asylum seekers until last week therefore i think the hotel needs a serious refresh before it can open its doors to general public again and charging people for this isn’t acceptable. To add to this there was one staff member running the entirety of reception/bar etc who was absolutely hopeless in helping us out with our cancelled booking after confirming it 5 days prior. In regards to the hotel being fully booked.. we were the only car in the far park and the only people at breakfast in the morning so i would love to know more about this “beings full” considering there is an apparent 52 rooms. All in all, it was severely dated, not well looked after, and awful customer service from both the hotel itself and itison in this case. We can guarantee we won’t be back, so save your money and try somewhere else! even the locals warned us 🙈! the website was an extremely false representation of the hotel in its current state. thanks x please note our photos and videos don’t even look too bad.. you should of seen the state of the carpets.

My Partner & i visited elgin for a 2 night spa break booked through Wahanda. On reading some of the reviews about this hotel we were apprehensive to say the least, however on arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. The double room we were given was clean, modern with a spacious bathroom. The spa facilities including pool, jacuzzi & sauna were all well maintained. The food was also very good & the set menu had a nice selection, the only downside was the slow dinner service. In all, the break was great value for money & very enjoyable.

We won a complimentary dinner, bed and breakfast. We were looking forward to making use of spa facilities but after making contact to confirm bookings learned there was none for this weekend. We were really disappointed to be honest. That's the down side! Outside: ok, nae the greatest but not awful 🤷🏻‍♀️ not majorly fussed about that to be fair. Lobby: lovely! Clean spacious, looked after. Receptionist: lovely! Room: standard size and layout, comfy bed, warm, clean, attention to detail. Bathroom could be updated but only for cosmetic reasons. Shower very powerful and plenty hot. Love the Sea Kelp toiletries 😍 TV has hdmi port if you want to use a device WiFi: not great for streaming but fine for checking emails and social media. There was earplugs but we didn't need them. Food: really amazing! Best food I've had out for a while! Can't believe this place isn't better known for their food?! Delicious prosecco too! Breakfast was delicious too. Light breakfast is just that, the big breakfast looks expensive at £18 but that includes anything from the light menu and the cooked element. My husband had a 3 course breakfast! All of it perfect and I am fussy with grease, cheap sausages etc but it was really excellent. 👌 Clean, so friendly. Must come back! 😁

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 children. We chose this hotel due to it having a swimming pool but unfortunately on arrival we were informed that the pool was closed for maintenance. This was a real disappointment for the kids but luckily they found the snooker table entertaining. The hotel was very quiet, which we all liked. The room needed a bit of TLC but we found the main bed very comfortable and got a good night's sleep. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, especially Natalia who really went the extra mile. Thank you for making our son's day with the nutella pancakes at breakfast! We ate dinner in the restaurant on our 1st night and were surprised that there wasn't a children's menu. We were able to order the children meals but had to pay adult prices for them, which surprised us. Breakfast was included in our stay and we all agreed it was very good. We would definitely consider staying here again if the swimming pool and spa were open.

The staff here are incredible. So friendly and professional. A particular thanks to Anna and Natalia who are the best I have ever come across in any hotel. Cheers, and best wishes in ye're careers which I'm sure will be incredible, Steve and Fiona O'Leary

In an emergency I had to book a room at 21.30 a couple of online options locally wouldn’t let me. Oh how I wish they had. I booked a single room, designed by someone who obviously designed Victorian prison cells, and even did that badly. The room was freezing and the bathroom even colder. The only plus was the bedding was clean. I booked a chain hotel for the next 2 nights, much better, warmer,up to date and a third the cost.
