Clarion Inn Elk City

If you're looking for a dump you've come to the right place! Door locks on rooms broken, door locks on outside doors broken. No bedding on beds. Shelf leaned up against the wall with nails sticking out. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We went to the front desk to get it fixed, they immediately offered to give us a new room, but then said they were all full. Offered to call housekeeping to get the beds made. When we asked about getting the door locks fixed we were told to "lose our attitude!" All we said was we weren't leaving our stuff in there with no way to lock the door and asked what she was going to do about that. Some friends of ours came a couple hours later, they were given a room that was already occupied, then a second room that was already occupied, and finally was given a 3rd room. When we called to talk to the manager a couple of days later they didn't apologize for their front desk persons attitude or anything else, they just banned us from ever coming back. Not that we planned to ever go back. This place is a joke. Looks like a real good place to catch hepatitis.

Hotel has changed management. They have their work cut out for them. We were given room that was not made up. Toilet was full of what appeared to be blood. After some work, desk clerk found another room. (we didn't have option to go to another motel). Finally got into another room but no A/C. Got it to work and after about 8 hours the room began to be comfortable. Motel itself is in poor condition. 2nd floor is non smoking, but reeks of old smoke. Ice machines not working. Motel has new coat of paint that appears to have been applied by 6th grade art class. Desk staff desperately trying to accommodate everyone, but having to work off of hot spots on their cell phones because hotel has no wifi, even for the front desk. At one time this was probably the place to stay, but now it's a place to avoid.

It's taken me a great while to write this, I never got to stay at the hotel because 4 of the 5 family households we were coming to visit came down with COVID-19. I called the hotel and spoke with a very nice gentleman whom assured me that as I was only cancelling due to COVID-19 I would get a refund for my rooms (2) or at least a credit for future use. BUT NOOOOO management refused do either so during COVID forced lack of income they kept my $300. Scrooge's
