Holiday Inn Columbia East-Jessup

Last minute stay due to my home AC going up. Surprisingly, this hotel was a completely overlooked gem as I've traveled this area frequently. Lobby was spacious with all kinds of different seating styles. Easy free parking. Great atmosphere and an A-1 staff. This property was spotless and it felt safe. My room was cute and cozy. The much needed fridge and microwave came in handy. The beds and pillows were so comfy 'til I slept like a baby. Room 419 was great and overlooked the pool. Be aware, 4 is considered the "high floor" lol. I didn't get a chance to swim but the pool was one of the best outside hotel pools I've seen and I've seen many. Huge in size with a serene-like surrounding. Plenty of pool furniture for your comfort. I like that the bushes surrounded the pool which gave you some privacy from the parking lot. An honorable mention to the breakfast staff--they were very pleasant, thoughtful and kept everything clean and stocked. My son has already asked to return so.... a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do.

The hotel is pretty big. The hotel front desk staff was very friendly. The hotel is close to great restaurants, shopping. The rooms are very clean, spacious, the bed is very comfortable. It has breakfast but you have to pay for it. All in all a great stay at a good price!!

The webpage said they have a shuttle to BWI airport and is not true.

We stayed for one night as it is a great location for Fort Mead. The hotel was clean and updated. The staff was staff. Outdoor pool. No carpet in the room. Comfortable bed. We had a problem with the air conditioning and it was addressed immediately and we switched rooms. All in all would stay again!

Room was clean and comfortable. Loved the modern look of the hotel and the room.

The shower did not work at all. I discovered this at 5am and there was no maintenance on duty. The TV was intermittent. This is an I-95 hotel and pretty ragged out. Buyer beware.

Didn’t take pictures but there was trash a kids tooth brush on the floor when I checked in covers had to be changed and could never find someone at the desk for help .

Bars are supposed to be a place for customers to relax and “enjoy” themselves. And not feel like they’re in a classroom. Maybe Watch a sporting event or a funny show or at minimum the news. After all its a bar! The bar atmosphere has changed for the better with the addition of Deonte to the staff. As a long time customer I’m happy the tv FINALLY works, the drafts selections are FINALLY back and the energy of the bar area on the nights Deonte is present are great after a long day of business. And the drinks are top notch. Not to mention the professionalism. Amanda is also great and very professional and provides courteous service during breakfast and the breakfast is always warm and delicious. Happy to also see the upgrades to some of the rooms. Even though the stairwells (especially the far end stairwell) are in need of renovations. Overall great hotel and most of the front desk staff are friendly.

Location worked great for our stay. Very friendly staff and comfy beds
