Tried this hotel because of dog friendly mention in review,glad we did , excellent room food and service ,we will be back there soon,food was excellent,and plenty of gluten free choice for my wife ,and our dog loved the place

We chosen this hotel because of good feedback.. don't believe this feedback! Horrible experience. Very rude staff. For the price you can stay in much better place in the area. The beds uncomfortable and noise from corridor woke us up through whole night. The breakfast served cold, we left full plates and left the hotel early. The worst experience ever!

Great sunday lunch, lovely a**osphere and friendly staff especially Nicole and Melanie, will definitely be back, nice selection of real ales and ciders also tea and coffee served, very reasonably priced apparently have sister pub in Beverley, Rose and Crown

This establishment was closed for food and drink on the night we booked but it did not deter from our experience. Communication with the hosts was perfect and she met us within 5minutes of arriving and she showed us to our room. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for a great night stay. Good recommendation for local restaurant too!! Many thanks

Our second visit here for a meal,my husband 76th birthday,with our daughter and son in law,food delicious,we all went for the homemade steak pie,chips,veg,gravy,one word fabulous,desserts, cheesecake,sticky toffee pudding,ginger sponge and custard, delicious ,I missed out on dessert as a diabetic everything to sweet for me,all in all we had a fabulous meal thank you to our waitress who looked after us very well,polite young lady,we will be back soon

I’ve stayed a few times now mid week for work at the railway inn. The staff are lovely and very welcoming - the pub is closed some days during the week but the communication with staff has been great for check in. The rooms are very clean and the facilities are modern. For single night stays it is much better value than Airbnb. Definitely the best value and quality for short business stays in the area. I will be back.

We were spectating at a rally and on the way to another stage had the good fortune to be going passed here at lunch time. We called in and asked if we could have a table. The whole place was buzzing with lunch time diners. We were kindly found a table and ordered. We had a turkey roast , a mixed meat roast and steak and black pudding pie. Our food arrived quickly and it was all delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended . Good value too
