The one night hotel on the way to New Orleans was different from the holiday inn I booked before. It felt very cheap and the experience was very average. Worked fine for us to stopover in Laurel on the way to New Orleans. The Buffalo Wild Wings just next door was convenient for dinner. Staff were very nice.

Room was ok except coffeemaker didn't work, shower door was off and wouldn't close. Pool had issues everyone had red eyes and skin irritations. From what we were told by other people after swimming is that they had complained the night before (Friday) and we didn't swim until Saturday evening. After we complained they said they closed the pool. Lots of issues with the kids and their eyes I'm glad we didn't have to play softball on Sunday because several of the kids wouldn't have been able to play.

The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. The area is not designed for walkers, for exercise or a mode of transport
