I use the Swan for food and beverage only, but I would be very happy to have friends and family stay, based on the quality of the food and service. As a former hotelier, by profession, I've found the staff members, irrespective of their age, to be competent and importantly, conscientious. Tishina, Chris and George, admirably assisted by Leila, Bobby and Joseph under the supervision of Nirmal, Gee and Hannah make a great team and are such lovely friendly people. The main reason I use The Swan.

Terrible experience, run by kids who had no idea what they were doing. No wine available and lots of options unavailable on the menu. Toilets were disgusting Really disappointing visit when it is supposed.to be a lovely place for a drink or meal.

We stayed for two nights and there are 5 ground floor rooms overlooking the River Ouse. They are in a separate building at the side of the pub. The rooms are spacious and beds are large and comfortable with tv and kettle and tea and coffee provided. The bathroom is great with a large walk in shower with a strong flow of hot water. There are bed side tables and plenty of convenient plugs to charge devices. Each room has a small balcony overlooking the river with a small table and two chairs. Rooms face south east so lots of morning sunshine. The pub has a small car park and is very popular at weekends so arrive early to be sure of a place. NO BREAKFAST is served in the pub and the nearest cafe in Littleport is almost a mile away (0.8 of a mile) Staff are very polite and evening meals are good. The room was clean and smart. The hotel is sandwiched between a railway and the river and access from Littleport is across the level crossing and immediately turn left. The room is v quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would return. Suggested improvements. Open up the kitchen for breakfast. There are no hooks in the bathroom for wash bags or towels. In summer the hot towel rail is turned off so towels do not dry. Cushions for the outside seats Better quality toilet paper

We took a business group of 50 people for a buffet lunch to the Swan. We were very well looked after, the buffet they prepared for us was excellent, nice sandwiches and freshly cooked pastries. It was great to sit next to the river and enjoy the view. Would definitely support them again.

Stumbled upon this place and will definitely visit again. Went for food and drinks. Food was good and a decent price same for the drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely setting next to the river. Looking forward to popping in for pint next to river on a summer's day!

My friend and I just had a very long lunch today, not been in to eat since the change of ownership. I must say I was very impressed with the food, friendliness and service, nothing too much trouble. The boat mooring is a priority for the owner to update and will be sorted very soon I am assured. Come on and give it a try!

Came for dinner on a quiet Monday evening after Googling nice places for dinner for a last minute treat. This is a lovely place for food, great service and very friendly staff. Very nice refurbishment by new owners, just what the local area needs! Will be going back with friends soon !

We went to the pub for dinner in a quiet monday night, turned out we had a great evening. The food was lovely, had a steak and dessert, the place looks cozy and the staff was really nice. Definitely will come back with good weather to enjoy the outdoor area by the river!

They advertise as a boutique hotel but I would advise to use that term loosely. I booked this hotel for one night as I was working locally. What a mistake! Not cheap at £95.00 and what a disappointment. When I pulled into the car park, it looked very run down and a bit rough. This was confirmed when I stepped inside the pub to check in. I was shown to my room and it felt unkept and very tired. I didn’t want to put my feet on the carpet so walked around the room with my shoes on. The walls are paper thin and you can every conversation of the neighbours and when they turn taps on, flush the toilet etc. I would never go back and can honestly say as a regular traveller, this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in for a very long time. I couldn’t wait to get to sleep so I could leave. It’s advertised to have breakfast included but that’s a myth as they just recommend a cafe down the road. I would strongly advise not using this hotel as it’s rough, rooms are tired and it feels unclean.
