Premier Inn Bristol East (Emersons Green)

During our first night , our friend suffered a serious medical emergancy , and the hotel staff , from Reception to Resuarant , rallied round , and obtained the speedy services of the local Ambulance . Thereafter , we were all accorded the most sympathetic of treatment .

Emersons Green is a fantastic and exceptionally peaceful hotel with a great Beefeater attached. Outstanding were the front of house staff: Emma, Emily, Liz and Izzy. They all had a consummate professional ‘nothing is a problem’ attitude and when they found out we were attending a sister’s funeral they went out of their way to give us each a bouquet of roses – how thoughtful and kind which was way beyond any of our expectations. This makes a nationally trusted chain more into a cosy family orientated business where there is genuine personal care and thought for customers. Advertisements are important but word of mouth of a positive experience says and goes so much further. We were so humbled and at the same time very impressed. I look at everyone in any organisation large or small with equal importance. Your cleaning staff also said a prayer to us in dedication to our sister, again how thoughtful and caring.

I have stayed in many Premier Inns. This one was okay. Sink in my room.was blocked on arrival and I had to request that it be sorted out - which it was. Also the room.thermostat and wall heater completely shut down at night, not a fault but done remotely ibelieve.

The room smelled very damp. It was super cold. It seemed that the heating was not working no matter how much I turned it up to the maximum. Very old and used decoration. For this price I could stay in a much better hotel.

Bed very comfortable but a buzzing noise like a generator kept us awake. One of the pillow cases had makeup on and black mascara smeared on it. 1 towel between 2 adults not enough. We ate breakfast which was awful . The restaurant is very understaffed on a busy Sunday with the queue right outside the door. The beans were cold, black pudding oozing with oil and thr tomatoes undercooked & tasteless. The toaster was excellent and cereal & pastry selection excellent.

Unfortunately the doors to the rooms are not sound proof, we were by the door which lead to the rest of the rooms therefore was very noisy and slept awfully. The hotel smelt of stale smoke throughout. The bathrooms cleaning was not up to standard. Staff were very helpful and kind at reception.

Hotel exactly as expected. Food in the Beefeater next door was very good. The service there was great - especially Charlotte our waitress. Couldn't do enough for you. There was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and bar - a pleasant evening spent there.

I stayed at the hotel with my 2 young children for 2 nights and the first night there was no heating and when I asked for a heater was told there was none available and there were no alternative rooms available either! I was given extra duvets but my children were still freezing as the room was so cold. We then had a power cut and I asked reception for a torch as it was pitch black but no one brought one to the room. I found the manager to be extremely unhelpful and quite rude. I will definitely not be returning!
