The hotel room was more modern/updated than I expected. It could have been cleaner. There was a pink stain on the toilet lid and some stains on the bed comforter. There were some hairs on the sheet. But it was conveniently located and had all the amenities we needed for a weekend of hiking, like a mini fridge, microwave, TV. We showed up 3 hrs early to just see if check in might be available, and it was. "Check in" consisted of a gruff, "Name?" and an envelope with a key shoved at me. No greeting or any friendly manners. I still give the hotel 4 starts because it was better than expected and the price was very good.

We are use to hotels that don’t allow smoking. Accepted recreational smoking has a down side, it makes accommodations stink.

Lovely little quaint hotel. Rooms were very nice and had comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and gave excellent service. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great motel in a very good location. This is our second time to stay at this motel and we just love staying here. Quiet in late October. Easy to drive to Leland, Suttons Bay, and even Traverse City or Frankfort.

We checked in late and left early. The office was not open at either time, but provisions were made by leaving the key in a mailbox where I dropped it off the following morning. The room was spotless which I loved. Comfortable bed. Mini fridge. Wonderful stay!
