Tasman Holiday Parks - Fisherman's Beach

For the past 7 years bar one, we have returned to Fishermans beach caravan park at Emu Park. The park is nothing at all special, although its location nearby to shops, pubs and clubs is very good. We have returned for 2-3 months each year along with a cohort of others who all get on well, join the local golf club, and bowls clubs and spend regularly at the local shops and eateries. When we started, the daily rate here was fair and reasonable and the park was managed by a private couple who knew us by name each year as we returned. However it was taken over by Tasman in 2023/4 and since then the price has gone through the roof, and the personal touch is a distant memory. We find the long term regulars are all discussing where do we go to next. There have been some very stupid rules introduced. While it is fine to ride a bicycle around the park you cannot ride an ebike. The claim is for safety, but you will have to tell me what the difference is between a bicycle and an ebike when both riden within the park speed limit. So we have 70 years olds plus all who have ebikes on board, not allowed to ride them from the park to the nearby bicycle path but instead they are required to walk them, but if on a bicycle that woudl be ok. Go figure, While we being slugged a fixed daily price, along side us we have people being offered daily specials for short stay accomodation up to $20/day less.

Stayed twice on roadtrip, great site, close very close to beach, amenities excellent, one site you must visit, close to shops, clean, just lovely, well recommend, will return next year that's for sure

Bernie, his lovely wife and Kylie made our stay so memorable. What they do is above and beyond! Just such a fabulous park due to them. We were sad to leave, but will be back next year!

What a lovely camp site, just 500 metres walk from the beach. Really clean facilities, close to shops. Helpful staff. You also get the chance to see the fruit bats return at dawn after their night time flights. The pitches are a little close together and open, but that’s part did not affect our stay.

We stopped off here to surprise my cousin, they had no idea we were coming. After meeting up with Bernard and Kylie who are well known to us from Gippsland Victoria, we just had such a wonderful stay that we extended another three days. Just a pleasant walk to both the shops and the bowlo and beach.

Very expensive.Week 1,$61/night.Week 2, $67/ night. We had site 7,amenities and grounds well maintained. Despite Gday parks membership,we found from our travels throughout Australia,this is the most expensive caravan park. Close access to shopping and beaches.Delightful views from the beaches.

Great caravan park, close to all facilities in Emu Park. Beach easily accessible from Park. Pleasant reception staff. Only issue was people constantly walking through our site to access either beach or footpath to shopping centre. Park could remedy this issue by providing dedicated walkways. Some sites are quite small.

Excellent location with lovely friendly & helpful reception staff.
