In mijn beleving moeten ze daar ook hun bekendheid van hebben. Het inchecken was erg rommelig omdat dit gebeurde aan de bar tussen het serveren door omdat er geen receptie is. De kamers zijn schoon en erg netjes, wat er in moet staan staat erin. De douchecabine is prima maar een goede schoonmaak beurt met antischimmelmiddel spray is geen overbodige luxe. Heerlijk geslapen op een boxspring bed met een goede stevige kussen. Wat betreft het eten, het begon met 3 stukjes vers gebakken Ciabatta met een zelfgemaakte kruidencrème, ook kreeg ik een heerlijke amuse bestaande uit een groentecrème soep. Het hoofdgerecht was een heerlijke kalfsbäckchen, ik moet eerlijk zijn ik weet niet precies wat het was maar het smaakte fenomenaal en super mals met een heerlijke portjus. Hierbij dronk ik een uitstekende Spätburgunder. Nu ga ik het hebben over het ontbijt, je zou zeggen met zo'n fantastische keuken dat het ontbijt ook groots zou zijn. Helaas dit was niet het geval, heb nog nooit zo'n sober ontbijt gehad. Ik moest zelf op zoek naar de koffie. De keuze van het brood was reuze, 2 sneetjes zuurdesembrood, 1 sneetje roggebrood en plusminus 10 Duitse harde bolletjes. Het beleg was redelijk standaard. Ik moet inderdaad niet zeuren, maar gezien het niveau van de keuken had ik meer verwacht. Conclusie, ben je op doorreis of je houd van lekker eten en je stelt niet teveel eisen aan een hotel of ontbijt dan is dit adres een prima keus.

We had a lovely spacious junior suite on the 2nd floor with a separate bathtub placed in the room, and in the bathroom, there was a rain shower. The beds were good. There is a small but very good breakfast buffet in the morning with fresh bread, plenty of toppings, and hard-boiled eggs. Due to a breakdown on our road trip we needed to find a hotel nearby at short notice that could book us in and by amazing good luck we happened to find this place. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel, the food and the staff. There was torrential rain when we turned up but the receptionist still insisted on coming out to help us carry our luggage. Because we turned up at short notice we had no restaurant booking and we don't eat meat, but the amazing chefs in their Michelin starred restaurant organised a fish and vegetarian based meal for us at incredibly short notice and it was stunning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful during our brief stay and I guarantee we will be going back. The rooms and the entire hotel are beautifully decorated and the entire atmosphere is calm and relaxing. We have been fortunate to stay in many wonderful hotels and guest houses around the world but this does everything just perfectly. It is classy and elegant without feeling stuffy or uptightand the is second to none.

What a nice quiet location for a pleasant stay is this. We have been there 2 days. The hospitality/hospitality of the staff really welcomed us warmly and during our stay. On the site we received a carefully compiled information package on walking/cycling routes in the surrounding area, which is really a recommendation for the Twent country with historic sites or surroundings. The restaurant is also a very friendly restaurant with a very beautiful wine card! Quiet, spacious, beautiful shower and good beds. We are equipped and then follows a fair breakfast with Twickel cheese, which I had never eaten. But we know that we will certainly come back.
