Stayed here whilst on business…
Beautiful hotel on the outside with well maintained gardens…
Inside slightly dated and could do with a small investment but overall was lovely…

Lovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool.
Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.

My husband has stayed here most weeks for the past two and a half years. When I get the opportunity I come to join him because we are always made to feel so special and welcome. All the staff go above and beyond to make sure our stay wants for nothing. The hotel takes on a special charm in the depth of winter through to the first bloom of summer. A very special thank you to Nicole, Charlotte, Natasha, Stacey, Max and Chris. I’m sure we’ll see you all again very soon.

Excellent location, golf course and health suite as well.
Need a bit of improvement in the breakfast buffet. Not much variety especially when I compare it with the one from Middle east.
The swimming pool is a bit dark, would have been better if they can make it more bright either using the lights or some other means.

Very disappointed. Staff other than at reception were indifferent to the customers. Slow service in the restaurant. Never asked if we wanted a drink with the meal. Food was greasy and when we mentioned it never said sorry, just "I'll tell the chef".

I managed to have a weekend stay at this wonderful old house by being a silent partner to my golf loving hubby. It worked out perfectly, after a large, delicious breakfast he set off with his clubs and I had all day to myself. The pool here is lovely, after a swim I walked around the grounds and gardens, absolutely stunning especially with the last of the blossom. The room was big and typical of these grand country houses. Plenty of steps. Well done to the staff, they made us feel very welcome. Would follow hubby next time.

Arrived at hotel after being held up on A38 for an hour. I am recovering from a broken leg and receptionist suggested changing our room so that I didn't have to climb stairs and moved us to the Mews. All thoughts of a leisurely swim were abandoned and we headed straight to the bar! Our room was spacious with a large bed plus sofa and chair. The bathroom had a bath with shower. Dinner was delicious and there was no problem with slow service as previously mentioned. We had a good night's sleep not being woken by torrential rain. A lovely firm mattress and soft fluffy pillows were to blame! The staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable occasion. We were not able to make the most of the beautiful grounds due to weather and my mobility but we will be back.

Wonderful architecture is located on the beautiful golf course. The hallways are bit confusing with many short stairs which makes it inconvenient to carry luggage. Great breakfast buffet with a variety of bread and rolls, egg dishes, and sausages.
