Went into the Dovecote for afternoon tea... not to be disappointed and we was not lovely greeting... excellent service, not hurried.... lovely food.... excellent DERBYSHIRE TEA to drink must be the best afternoon teas in Derbyshire definitely on the GO AGAIN LIST

W e had our wedding at Morley Hayes on the 12.11.2024, from the moment we booked this for our venue they have been understanding when circumstances change and very welcoming. The day was run by Jane, she and her team did an amazing job, keeping all our wedding guests happy and made sure everything ran smoothly without any problems and if there was a problem she was quick to come to a solution for it. We had such a lovely and enchanting day, the staff were friendly and engaging.

As an opportunity to show our French friends something quintessentially English, we of course chose Afternoon Tea at the Dovecote Restaurant. Despite an option for French Patisserie every day at home, they were delighted with the selection of small desserts and pastries and also with our English scones with cream and jam, or should that be jam a cream? We added the savoury option to our tea and the Piccalilli was very popular. One friend has an issue with tea and our waiter Finn went to great lengths to ensure that she was provided with a tea free infusion of Citrus and Ginger. A glass of the sparkling Michelle Rosé rounded off our afternoon perfectly. We have been a number of times, and will continue visit for special occasions.

A great evening in the function suite with Rocky Horror theme entertainment and very nice food. Special shout out though for the breakfast chefs in the hotel’s restaurant who cooked one of the best breakfasts we have had. Through out our stay all the staff were friendly and helpful

A lovely boutique hotel, nestled in some beautiful surroundings and a classic quiet England village. The big draw for me is the golf facilities. A stunning 18 hole main course and a great 9 hole course. The driving range is also a rare gem with real grass practice areas. The staff are very friendly and engaging and more than willing to help. The room itself is spacious and very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and I couldn't recommend it more.

Agents Giving had a brilliant charity golf day at Morley Hayes. The staff were simply the best their support throughout the day was incredible. There were eighty golfers who enjoyed bacon sandwiches and a great three course dinner after their eighteen round of golf. Thank you, we have booked for 2025 who wouldn't?
