It's been a week since we were in Ericeira. I still feel compelled to write this review. The location of the hotel is remarkably beautiful. However, the hotel food is absolutely horrid. After a long bike ride from Peniche to Ericeira, we checked into the hotel and had a buffet dinner. The quality and taste of the food was completely horrible. I couldn't eat the food. The food was dried out, tasteless and visually disgusting. After realizing that the food was so bad, I took my plate to another table that had dirty dishes on it. I then met the manager of the restaurant. His name is Carlos Oliveira. He verbally chastised and berated me in front of our group. I was extremely embarrassed. However, looking back on the experience, Mr. Oliveira is the reason the restaurant is such a complete mess. He is rude, incompetent, unprofessional and uncaring. It is obvious that the serving staff fear him because he is verbally abusive. Not a single smile on the serving staff. I think this hotel could be first rate. However, with such poor management and hostile environment, it is no wonder I can only give this place 1 star. Eat somewhere else. The food is not worthy of giving it away.

Service im Restaurant ist schlecht. Buffet wird zu langsam nachgefüllt. Warme Speisen sind kalt. Kaffeeautomaten beim Frühstück sind extrem langsam d.h lange Schlangen. Der Cappuccino schmeckt grausam. Weit von dem entfernt was man bei 4 Sternen erwarten würde.

The hotel room I had was dated. I still give it five star because one of the staff was really nice there. But my room smelled weird... I asked to move to different room but they couldn't accommodate. Lamp was broken and had to get it replaced when I came in. Also the safe did not work in the room. The view made up for a lot of it but I don't think I would have stayed here for more than a few days in he room I was in. They really need to update the rooms a little more. Pillows were very uncomfortable and bed was squeaky. The breakfast buffet however, was amazing. Who is really cool too. The area is fantastic and everything is in walking distance.
I did not include pictures of the room because it wasn't anything special to to take pics of.

Uma belíssima surpresa, na linda cidade de Ericeira. O hotel é tradicional e antigo, muito bem conservado, as dependências do hotel são agradáveis e confortáveis. Um lobby acolhedor, um pub tradicional e espaços super interessantes. São duas piscinas magnificas, sendo uma de água salgada do mar. Um Spa com saunas, banho turco, salas de massagem e uma pequeno espaço para ginástica e fitness. O café da manhã é bem servido, com ênfase nas diversas opções de pães, com destaque para a deliciosíssima Broa de Milho. O staff do hotel são muito atenciosos e prestativos. O destino é espetacular, são praias maravilhosas em uma cidadezinha super pitoresca, com excelentes opções de restaurantes e bares, e pode-se fazer tudo caminhando. Vale a pena.

Wunderschöne Lage direkt am Meer. Zum Stadtzentrum sind es nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Frühstück und Abendessen: die Buffets sind sehr reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Para o conceito que este hotel tem fuca aquém das expetativas. Precisava ser renovado. Está bastante antiquado. A água da piscina supostamente aquecida era tudo menos quente. As pessoas entravam mas com algum custo. O pequeno almoço tinha uma fila de espera até ao elevador. Para a dimensão e renome que este hotel tem precisa ajustar se e adaptar a uma maior organização e eficiência para corresponder a um padrão médio/alto.
