On arrival we were wowed by the views. There was a delay checking in due to Laudry problems, out of the control of the hotel. We were offered drinks and lunch to help compensate for the delay. The hotel was spotless, breakfast had so many options all laid out ready to take your pick from ( if you cant find something to eat, then I would be shocked) The staff are absolutely brilliant, friendly, helpful and chatty. I had a couple of issues which were dealt with and certainly not issues I would raise on here. It is a shame that some of the people staying there felt the need to moan about the slightest of things and actually made me embarressed to be British. If you have a problem, speak to the staff in a polite manner and they will do all they can to resolve things. The rooms are a good size, I certainly had enough storage, although I can understand that those that pack as if they are never returning home, may feel that more storage was needed. The way the bathroom is designed it a little different, but didnt alter my overall opinion. No, the sky bar wasnt open, but the terrace opened whilst we were there and was a lovely spot to sun bathe. The pool area is not huge, but plenty of room to enjoy the sun or shade depending on your preferences. Found some lovely places locally to eat a little further from the hotel and away from where most people were eating. Had a fantastic massage at a good price, certainly relieved stresses. Like any hotel there will always be things that could be a little better, and speaking with the manager these are gradually being addressed, but generally there were no major issues. According to some of the guests, Jet2 had informed them of major building works, this is not the case, there is a renovation happening at the end of the hotel of a house, I have to say there was no noise from it at all. I loved being up early watching the larger ships coming past, with the sun rising behind them. Would I go back again, yes in a heartbeat. I was sorry that we had to leave. To all the staff there, thank you for your hard work, your humour and dedication to your jobs. Maybe if and when I come back can we not make it quite so eventful lol. Room 135 (6-13th May)
